Meeting to celebrate the 80th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day September 2nd

At the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Tien Dung and delegates reviewed the revolutionary tradition on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. 80 years ago, under the wise and talented leadership of the Party and the great President Ho Chi Minh, the entire nation rose up to carry out the miraculous August General Uprising, creating a brilliant milestone in the history of the nation. On September 2, 1945, at the historic Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam - opening an era of independence, freedom and socialism. In the development of the country over the past 80 years, we have witnessed remarkable progress; from a backward agricultural country, devastated by war, to a developing country with average income, a dynamic economy , deep integration, and an increasingly high position in the international arena; The country entered a new era - the era of national growth.

Together with the whole country, Dien Bien province went through a long and arduous resistance war, we made the Dien Bien Phu Victory "famous in five continents, shaking the earth". In recent years, the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of all ethnic groups in Dien Bien province have always promoted the revolutionary tradition, the heroic Dien Bien Phu spirit, always united, strived to overcome difficulties and challenges, and gradually achieved important and comprehensive achievements in all fields. In the period of 2020 - 2025, Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee has focused on leading and directing the effective implementation of the goals and tasks set out in the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress: The economy has developed quite well, with an average growth rate of 8.76%/year, the economic structure has shifted in a positive direction; the investment and business environment has been significantly improved, attracting many investors to survey, research, propose and implement projects in the province. Socio-economic infrastructure, especially transport, urban and service infrastructure, has been gradually invested and completed. Cultural and social aspects have made much progress, education, health care and health care for the people have been effectively implemented. Poverty reduction policies, social security policies have been synchronously and effectively implemented, supporting the construction of Great Solidarity houses, eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for over 22,300 poor households; the poverty rate has decreased from 37.51% in 2020 to 17.66% in 2025 (an average decrease of 3.97%/year); the great solidarity bloc of ethnic groups has been strengthened; national defense, security, social order and safety have been ensured; borders and landmarks have been firmly protected, territorial sovereignty and national border security have been maintained. Party foreign affairs, State diplomacy and people-to-people diplomacy have been expanded and effectively promoted. The work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system has been carried out with high determination; the organization and arrangement of the apparatus at all levels and the two-level local government have been streamlined, operated smoothly, effectively, efficiently and effectively. The material and spiritual life of the people has been gradually improved, the people of all ethnic groups in the province trust in the leadership of the Party and the management of the government at all levels... Currently, Dien Bien province still has more than 16,000 files of people with meritorious services to the revolution. Most of the meritorious services and their relatives have always received the province's attention to properly resolve the policies and regimes. Every year, on holidays and Tet, the provincial and local leaders visit, give gifts of gratitude, and present 43 savings books to policy families in difficult circumstances; 687 households have been supported to build houses.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Tien Dung requested Party committees and authorities at all levels, veteran revolutionaries, cadres, party members, armed forces and people of all ethnic groups in Dien Bien province to unite, continue to promote the heroic Dien Bien Phu tradition in the renovation process, promote industrialization, modernization and international integration; build and firmly protect sovereignty and borders. Strive to successfully implement the goals and tasks of socio-economic development, resolutions of party congresses at all levels, Resolution of the 15th Provincial Party Congress, Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress in the period of 2025 - 2030 and the following years, towards the goal of "Rich people, strong country, democratic, equitable and civilized society"...

Promoting the heroic spirit of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, at the meeting, Comrade Mua A Vang, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien province, called on all walks of life in the province to continue promoting the spirit of great solidarity, mutual love, actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, contributing to building the homeland increasingly prosperous. The member organizations of the Front continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, truly being a solid bridge between the Party, the State and the people; continue to preserve and promote historical values, revolutionary traditions, educate the younger generation about patriotism, national pride, and responsibility towards the country.

The meeting to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is an important political event of the country and the Vietnamese people. It is an opportunity for us to review the heroic history and express our deep gratitude to the generations of fathers and grandfathers who sacrificed their blood and bones to gain independence and freedom for the nation. On this occasion, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien province presented 70 gifts to veterans, families of policy beneficiaries and veteran revolutionaries.
