FIFA, AFC trust Vietnamese referees

2024 is a successful year in the international arena with Vietnam's international referees and supervisors. The "judging" force trusted by FIFA, AFC, AFF is called to work in many official tournaments such as the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers - Group E, the World Futsal Championship, the final round of the Asian U17 and U20 Women's Championship... This is the result of the efforts to improve the quality of referee training of the Football Federation as well as the efforts of each referee.

In addition, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has sent referees and supervisors to attend FIFA and AFC training courses such as: AFC Referee Academy Courses 4 and 5; FIFA Referee Instructor Course; AFC Senior Female Referee Workshop; AFC Senior Male Referee Workshop.

Referee Ngo Duy Lan participates in officiating international matches.

For the National Professional Football Tournaments, 2024 is the second year of competition under the new time frame from the previous year to the next year. VFF and VPF Company have also organized training for supervisors and referees to prepare for the 2024/25 season to review the supervisory and refereeing force and discuss and learn from the experience of the management work to improve in the new season.

During the training program, the Referee Board organized tests and assessments on physical and theoretical preparation, and agreed on the content of handling match situations and referee management methods.

Regarding training, the Referee Board continues to implement training plans, support and coordinate with local referee units and organizations to promote extensive referee training to widely disseminate the Football Competition Laws to localities, helping localities to supplement the referee force to serve grassroots tournaments.

From there, the Referee Board selects potential students to continue training in the next advanced classes towards selecting the best referees to add to the national referee team.
