Mr. Dau Duc Truyen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Hoa Commune (formerly Tuong Duong District, Nghe An Province) directly surveyed and directed the plan to bring 176 students from Xop Coc and Tat villages to school for the new school year 2025-2026. These are the two most remote villages in the commune, often isolated during the rainy season.
Due to the consecutive effects of storms No. 3, 5 and 6, prolonged heavy rains have caused landslides on many roads, river water has risen and flooded Vang Ong spillway, causing traffic to Xop Coc and Tat villages to be cut off for many days.

It is difficult for local students to go to school, especially during the opening of the 2025-2026 school year.
On the morning of September 5, from 5am, parents brought their children to the Vang Ong bridge area. Here, the commune government mobilized specialized vehicles of the police force, along with large trucks and excavators to clear the river and straighten the flow so that vehicles could move across the bridge, ensuring absolute safety.

Thanks to the coordination of the government and functional forces, all 176 students from kindergarten to junior high school of Xop Coc and Ban Tat villages were brought to school on time for the opening ceremony.
“With the motto of safety first, the commune has urgently mobilized means, forces and social resources to ensure that all students are present on the opening day. This is not only a festival to go to school but also a belief and motivation for students to continue to make efforts in the new school year,” Mr. Dau Duc Truyen shared.

The image of police cars and large trucks carrying students through flooded roads to attend the opening ceremony left a deep impression, spreading the spirit of solidarity and sharing of the whole community with students in the highlands.
Sharing the same atmosphere of the opening ceremony, on the morning of September 5, at the Yen Hoa Village Cultural House, My Ly 2 Kindergarten and My Ly 2 Primary Boarding School on the other side of the Nam Non River also held the opening ceremony of the new school year in the joy of teachers and students.
