In Literature , Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thao, Head of the Social Studies Group at To Vinh Dien Secondary School (Dong Da District, Hanoi ) commented that the 10th grade exam has completely eliminated the orientation of model essays or model paragraphs. Students are able to demonstrate their true abilities. The social discussion issues raised in the exam are also very close, not constrained or sloganized.
Teacher Duong Thuy Linh, Deputy Head of the Literature Group of Lomonosov Secondary and High School, said that the Social Argumentative Essay writing topic deals with content that is very close and practical to students, so it certainly does not make it difficult for students; the differentiation is shown through the comprehensiveness and feasibility of the solutions that students propose.
With this exam, Ms. Linh predicts that the average score for Literature this year will be around 6.5-7.5 for students with average to good ability, who can think clearly, reason clearly, and have good writing skills. A score above 7.5 will be difficult to achieve if students do not think well and have not carefully practiced reading comprehension of the genre.
Last year, teachers said that with the familiar exam structure, which was not surprising to candidates, many students could get 7-8 points.

In English , the test is assessed to have clear differentiation.
Ms. Vu Thi Thanh Binh, Head of the Foreign Language Group at To Vinh Dien Secondary School (Dong Da District, Hanoi) commented that this year's 10th grade exam was within the students' ability.
“The test is suitable for the ability of average to good students, not too easy or too difficult, easy, easy to breathe, creating a comfortable mindset for students to do the test when they have good background knowledge. The test not only tests language knowledge but also focuses on students' ability to apply, think, analyze, and synthesize through diverse types of questions. The test is also practical, suitable, and close to life, helping students develop the ability to apply knowledge in practice, classifying and accurately assessing students' abilities," Ms. Binh assessed.
According to Ms. Nguyen Nguyet Ngu, Head of the Foreign Language Group of Thai Thinh Secondary School, to do well on this test, candidates must have a solid grasp of basic knowledge and language skills (Speaking and Writing), instead of using tricks to do the test like in previous years.
With this test, Ms. Nguyet Ngu estimated that the average score students can achieve is around 7-8.
Ms. Dinh Thi Bich Lien, Deputy Head of the Foreign Language Group of Lomonosov Secondary and High School, also shares the same opinion, saying that the questions are suitable for the trend of developing language skills, avoiding learning by rote and learning tricks.
Ms. Lien predicts that students who have a good grasp of the textbook and practice the questions in a basic way (about 50% of the candidates) will achieve a score of 7-8. A score of 9-10 will exist but is not common (about 20%) because the questions have some questions that are easy to misunderstand and some questions that are clearly classified.
Last year, many teachers said that average students could get 6.5-7 points, good students could get over 8 points. The score range was mainly around 6-7.
In Math , Ms. Nguyen Thi Oanh, head of Math for the secondary school level at Phenikaa Secondary School - High School, assessed that the 10th grade Math exam this year has slightly decreased in difficulty, not challenging students. "It is expected that the average score of candidates may fall around 7 points," Ms. Oanh commented.
According to Ms. Dinh Thi Hong Hue , Head of the Natural Science Group of To Vinh Dien Secondary School, the exam consists of 5 lessons with full knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, probability and practical applications according to the sample structure announced by the Department of Education and Training, so students with a firm grasp of basic knowledge will be able to do the test. Average students can achieve a score of 6.5-7.0 or higher.
Ms. Dinh Tuyet Trinh, Deputy Head of the Math Group of Lomonosov Secondary and High School, also commented that the exam was basic, suitable for students, the questions were coherent, and the language was easy to understand, so it did not make things difficult for the students.
The knowledge included in the exam is mainly from the 9th grade curriculum, so if students have basic knowledge and practice well, they can easily get 7 and 8 points. Ms. Trinh predicts that the candidates' scores will be concentrated at 7 to 8; there will be quite a few 9 points.
Last year, teachers predicted that the average English score of candidates would fall between 6.5 and 7.5.

Thus, if calculating the 10th grade benchmark score through the average division of each subject and coefficient, it is predicted that this year's benchmark score may increase slightly compared to last year.
However, the above predictions about the benchmark scores are for reference only, candidates need to wait for the official answers and score sheets from the Hanoi Department of Education and Training. Not to mention, the benchmark scores of each school also depend on the number of candidates registering, the ratio and quality of "competition".
Mr. Tran The Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, said that one of the notable new points in this year's 10th grade entrance exam is the adjustment of the way the admission score is calculated. Instead of multiplying the coefficient by 2 for Math and Literature as in previous years; in 2025, the admission score will be the total score of 3 subjects (Math, Literature, Foreign Language), each subject is calculated on a 10-point scale and does not multiply the coefficient.
According to the plan of the Department of Education and Training, from June 9 to June 22, the Examination Council of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will mark multiple-choice tests. From June 11 to June 22, the Council will mark essay tests.
From July 4 to July 6, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will announce the test scores of candidates on the Department's electronic information portal and the city's primary admission portal. Also during this period, the Department will announce the benchmark scores of schools.
