Thunderstorms are forecast in many areas of Hai Phong in the next few hours.

It is forecasted that in the next 1-3 hours, convective clouds will move to Hai Phong city area causing thunderstorms.

According to the 8:30 a.m. bulletin on August 18 from the Hai Phong City Hydrometeorological Station, through radar monitoring, convective clouds developing in the Gulf of Tonkin including Bach Long Vi are moving towards Hai Phong City.

It is forecasted that in the next 1-3 hours, convective clouds will continue to develop and move, causing thunderstorms in the above-mentioned places, then spreading to coastal areas, Cat Hai and Do Son special zones, and then possibly to neighboring communes and wards in the east and southeast of Hai Phong city.

During thunderstorms, be on guard against tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind that can break trees, damage houses, traffic works and infrastructure, endangering human life.
