Component 1 project of Cao Lanh - An Huu expressway lacks capital and sand

On June 13, a working delegation of the Ministry of Construction led by Deputy Minister of Construction Pham Minh Ha inspected the construction progress of the Cao Lanh - An Huu Expressway Investment Project (component project 1 - through Dong Thap province, about 16km long, total investment of 3,640 billion VND).

Reporting to the working delegation, the Dong Thap Provincial Project Management Board said that the Cao Lanh - An Huu Expressway Construction Investment Project has completed more than 63% of the contract value; basically completed 16/19 bridges on the route; the loading work has completed 11.2/13.2km (reaching 84.8%).

However, the project's construction is facing some difficulties: additional capital has not been allocated (VND 350 billion); there is a shortage of 0.3 million m3 of rock whose source has not been determined; the highway passes through an area with weak soil and complex geology, and the estimated loading time is long...

Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee proposed that the Government promptly transfer 350 billion VND in the 2026-2030 medium-term plan to the 2021-2025 medium-term plan and supplement capital in 2025 or allow localities to advance capital to speed up construction progress.
