Vietnamese film project competes at BIFF 2025

"Flying Cows" is one of 30 projects selected for the Asian Project Market (APM), an activity within the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF 2025).

This is the debut feature film of young director Nguyen Pham Thanh Dat - who recently attracted attention with the short film Wooden Fish. Before being selected for APM, Flying Cow Milk had won the Best Genre Project award from the Motion Picture Association of America (MPA) within the framework of DANAFF Project Market (3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival).

Belonging to the genres of drama, crime, romance and fantasy, the film brings a humane story about love, people and ideals.

The 30th BIFF will take place from September 17 to 26 with many innovations, such as the first Busan Awards, the Best Film award will be shown at the closing ceremony..., in addition, some secondary awards will also change in the direction of merging old awards.

BIFF has also just announced that director Jafar Panahi - who just won the Palme d'Or at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival - will be named Asian Filmmaker Of The Year.
