How is the nearly 400 billion VND Nguyen Tuan Street expansion project currently being constructed?

The project to renovate and expand Nguyen Tuan Street has been approved by the People's Committee of Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi City with a total investment of nearly 400 billion VND. By November 2024, the site clearance work for the project will be basically completed.

To implement the project, Thanh Xuan district reclaimed and cleared land on an area of 14,334 m², affecting 11 organizations and 160 households and individuals.

The Nguyen Tuan Street expansion project is expected to be completed in September 2025. When completed, the route will have a total length of 720 m, starting from Nguyen Trai Street and ending at Lane 162 Nguyen Tuan.

The road's cross-section will be expanded to 21 m, double the previous width, including a 15 m wide roadway and sidewalks on both sides, each 3 m wide.

The cleared areas are being renovated and improved to suit the road expansion plan. Contractors are focusing on constructing a wastewater drainage system in the area in front of the Institute of Ceramics and Industrial Glass ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ).

The construction site is fenced to limit traffic impact and ensure safety for people moving through.

According to the leader of the Thanh Xuan District Construction Investment Project Management Board, many trees on the route have been moved and cut down by authorities; power lines and telecommunication cables are also being moved by the Project Management Board in coordination with related units.

After completing the expansion, Nguyen Tuan Street is expected to reduce traffic congestion in the area, improve urban quality and contribute to promoting the socio -economic development of Hanoi in general and Thanh Xuan district in particular.
