Dear students and parents!

The results of the 10th grade entrance exam have just been announced, and we know that for many families and students, tonight is probably a long and heavy night. The scores just announced can make someone's heart sink, make them cry, or simply leave them speechless.

Ba Dinh High School sincerely thanks the 56 students who trusted, submitted their applications and participated in the recent exam. Although the results were not as expected, the "fate" between the school and the students is temporarily not enough to accompany each other for the next three years, but their presence, efforts, hope and belief that they bring are things we deeply appreciate.

We understand: Behind each application is a journey of preparation, months of hard study, carrying the dream of a young person and the loving expectations of the family. No one wants their dream to be interrupted.

But guys! An exam cannot define a lifetime. Don’t fall at the starting line. Tell yourself: “I will keep going – maybe slower than others, but never stop”. There are doors that close not to block our way, but to lead us to another turn, where we can grow more mature in our own way.

The important thing is not which path to take, but to walk with the spirit of not giving up. If today you have not achieved what you wish for, give yourself time to be sad, to shed tears to feel lighter, and then strongly move forward…”

The above sharing lines are from Mr. Le Hoang Tuan, teacher at Ba Dinh High School (Nga Son district, Thanh Hoa province).

Sharing with VietNamNet, Mr. Tuan said that he is a History teacher, and has worked inthe education sector for more than 20 years. During enrollment periods, he himself is the one who collects applications for students at the school.

This year, the school's 10th grade entrance exam had 540 candidates registered, of which 56 did not meet the admission requirements.

After each time the scores were announced, students who failed the exam came to get their documents, and some parents came to get them for their children, their sad faces making teachers like him feel sad.

“Students who fail the exam have to go through a period of great psychological pressure from their families and friends. In many cases, because of studying and taking exams, they have done regrettable things. Instead of just praising and honoring those who passed and achieved high results, I think writing a few lines of encouragement for them, so that they and their families can reduce the pressure on their children,” said Mr. Tuan.

According to Mr. Tuan, the content he shared unexpectedly received so much attention from parents and students.

“The 10th grade entrance exam is an important turning point. At the age of 15-16, there are many changes and vulnerabilities, so parents need to pay more attention to their children's emotions and spirit.

There are many paths and careers to choose from in life. No matter which path you choose, effort is a prerequisite for success. Parents also need to understand, sympathize and reduce pressure on their children,” Mr. Tuan shared.
