Closing Long Hoa II sand mine in Can Gio commune

On September 11, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Minh Thanh signed Decision No. 1378/QD-UBND approving the project to close the Long Hoa II sand and fill mine, Can Gio commune (formerly Long Hoa commune, Can Gio district).

According to the decision, the purpose of closing the mine is to manage and protect unexploited mineral resources. The area of ​​the mine closure is 1km², the implementation time is within 20 days, with a total cost of more than 618 million VND. This cost is paid and directly implemented by Can Gio Urban Tourism Joint Stock Company.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requires enterprises to implement on schedule, ensure labor safety, protect the environment, and report the results to the Department of Agriculture and Environment for inspection and acceptance.

The Decision takes effect from the date of signing. Relevant departments and branches, together with the People's Committee of Can Gio Commune and Can Gio Urban Tourism Joint Stock Company are responsible for implementation.
