The People's Committee of Duc Lien Commune (Vu Quang) has just held a ceremony to receive the provincial-level historical-cultural relic certificate of Bach Y Princess Temple. Representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vu Quang District and many local people attended.

Princess Bach Y Temple is located on the bank of Ngan Sau River, in Lien Hoa village, Duc Lien commune. It is solidly built with the architectural unit being the upper hall in the style of a four-pillar house. Around the temple are many ancient trees hundreds of years old, over 10m high.

According to historical documents, the temple was built before the reign of King Thanh Thai of the Nguyen Dynasty (late 19th century). The temple worships the god Bach Y, an incarnation of the Mother of the Upper Realm, an all-powerful goddess who governs the 81 forest gates of the Nam Giao realm.

Princess Bach Y Temple is located on the bank of Ngan Sau River, in Lien Hoa village, Duc Lien commune.

When it was first built, the Bach Y Princess Temple was made of wood. In 2015, after a fire completely damaged the temple, the government and people of Duc Lien commune built a new, solid and spacious temple on the old foundation and according to the old architecture with the wish to be protected, blessed with favorable weather, good crops, a peaceful life, and to bestow blessings and fortune.

The temple still preserves three royal decrees from the Nguyen Dynasty (one from Thanh Thai's reign and two from Khai Dinh's reign). Today, the temple is a place of faith and community religious activities, playing an important role in the spiritual life of the local people here.
