Bau Ham Commune aims for sustainable development

Party Secretary and Chairman of Bau Ham Commune People's Council Le Huy Thiem said: Expanding development space and resources has created more advantages for the locality to develop in a green and sustainable direction in the coming time.

Focus on “3 breakthroughs”

Bau Ham commune was established on the basis of merging 4 communes: Song Thao, Bau Ham, Thanh Binh and Cay Gao. In recent years, despite many difficulties and challenges, most of the targets set by the Party resolutions of the predecessor communes for the 2020-2025 term have been completed and exceeded. The economy has developed quite well, the annual budget revenue has basically met and exceeded the assigned targets. The communes have also completed the set of criteria for advanced new rural areas, the face of the countryside has fundamentally changed... The achieved results continue to be the premise and driving force for the development of the commune in the coming time.

Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of the commune Le Huy Thiem said: After the merger, Bau Ham commune has been expanded in many dimensions in both natural area and population size. The commune has more potential for development, especially agricultural production. In particular, the expansion of development space, expansion of resources such as land, human resources, technical infrastructure and social infrastructure has created opportunities for the locality to review and adjust planning and mobilize resources for green and sustainable development in the coming time.

At the recent 1st Party Congress of the commune, term 2025-2030, the commune proposed 8 key tasks, 3 breakthrough areas and 5 main solutions, closely following the potential, advantages and sustainable development requirements of the locality in the new period to focus on implementation.

In particular, the locality has identified 3 breakthrough areas that need to be focused on: Breakthrough in administrative reform and digital transformation; breakthrough in rural infrastructure development and breakthrough in high-tech agricultural development and circular agriculture. Specifically, the commune has determined to mobilize and effectively use investment sources to develop rural infrastructure, especially investing in upgrading the transportation system and synchronous power grid, in order to create new momentum for socio-economic development. Along with that, it is necessary to focus on converting the structure of crops and livestock to suit local natural conditions and market demand; encourage the development of large-scale production models, organic agriculture, expand production chains, biosafety, associated with building brands for local OCOP products (One Commune One Product Program).

Unity for common goals

Bau Ham Commune also set out specific targets to strive to achieve in the new term. In particular, striving for an average annual growth rate of state budget revenue of over 5%; an average annual growth rate of total product value in the area of 7.15%; striving to have at least 3 products certified with 3-star OCOP certification or higher during the term; average income per capita by 2030 to increase by 32.77% compared to 2025...

To achieve the set targets and tasks, the entire political system of the commune is striving to promote its role and responsibility, working together for the common goal.

Secretary of Thuan Truong Hamlet Party Cell Tran Sy Quang shared: In the coming time, closely following the direction of the Commune Party Committee, the hamlet will continue to promote the propaganda work on building a model residential area to all cadres, civil servants, party members and people in the area, thereby promoting the combined strength of the people. Continue to carry out social security work well, maintain the hamlet with no poor households. Along with that, actively beautify the countryside, protect the environment, create a "bright, green, clean, beautiful" landscape. Pay attention to maintaining and well maintaining cultural institutions and hamlet cultural houses. Strengthen the maintenance of security, order and social safety in the area.

Attending and directing the 1st Congress of Bau Ham Commune Party Committee, term 2025-2030, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc suggested: Bau Ham Commune should focus on maximizing its advantages in association with promoting internal resources; promoting economic development, science and technology, and environmental protection. Focus on restructuring the agricultural sector in association with innovating the growth model, organizing production according to the value chain, applying science and technology, and increasing labor productivity. Along with that, it is necessary to focus on planning, construction investment, land management, etc.

Deputy Head of Bau Ham Commune Police Tran Van Nghi said: The Commune Police will strengthen the work of grasping the situation, preventing and fighting crimes. In particular, it will strongly strengthen the application of information technology in residence management, monitoring security and order, installing and operating security camera systems on main roads, areas with complex security and order, and densely populated residential areas. Thereby, contributing to improving the effectiveness of residence management, creating breakthroughs in monitoring, preventing and fighting all types of crimes, ensuring security and order in the area, serving the sustainable development of the locality.
