Generative AI is recreating the “productivity paradox” that occurred with PCs and the Internet. Although nearly 80% of global businesses have deployed AI, profits have yet to improve significantly.
42% of companies will cancel most AI projects by the end of 2024 due to low efficiency and high costs. The reasons lie in technology, employee anxiety about losing their jobs, and lack of trust from customers.
MIT expert Andrew McAfee believes that technological power is a necessary but not sufficient condition for economic breakthrough. Many businesses implement AI in a “bottom-up” manner, resulting in fragmented projects and a lack of overall strategy. Some companies are succeeding by viewing AI as a tool to support, strategically integrate, rather than replace humans.
McAfee stressed that patience, investment in training and process improvement are needed if AI is to truly be effective. Dear readers, please watch more videos : From January 1, 2026, digital products created by AI must have identification marks | Nhan Dan Newspaper
