Businesses gear up for fall-winter tourist season

Pu Luong Community Ecotourism Area is identified by many travel businesses as a "highlight" in the autumn - winter travel itinerary.

In the context of tourism product demand tending to differentiate by season and specific customer groups, travel businesses, hotels, resorts and destinations in the province have begun to "get ready" for this year's fall - winter season. Unlike summer, the fall - winter tourist market tends to choose nature exploration trips, seek quiet spaces, stay away from noise and prioritize products with deeper personal experiences. Therefore, instead of focusing on sea tourism as before, many businesses have quickly reoriented their products to suit this shifting trend.

One of the destinations that is being included in most autumn-winter tours is Pu Luong Community Ecotourism Area, which is known as the "muse" of the West of Thanh Hoa. With a cool climate, golden terraced fields in September - October, especially the traditional lifestyle of the Thai people is still preserved, Pu Luong is a bright name chosen by many travel businesses in and outside the province as a center for exploiting resort tours, trekking, and healing tourism. Mr. Bui Viet Anh, Manager of Pu Luong Jungle Lodge Resort, said: “Domestic and international visitors to Pu Luong are increasing, especially in the fall when the weather is cool and the landscape is beautiful. However, to extend the length of their stay, we are trying to upgrade our services and refresh our experiences to suit the fall and winter seasons. In particular, we aim to combine the resort with the community to organize appropriate experiential activities that are characteristic of the season, while maintaining experiences such as hiking through the village and organizing highly interactive ethnic cultural nights.”

Along with the mountainous community tourism areas, the province's coastal tourism areas have also begun to change the way they do tourism in the fall and winter. Sam Son, Hai Tien, Hai Hoa - beaches that were once considered "only crowded in the summer" are now trying to build a new image: a resort destination, MICE (tourism combined with conferences and seminars), healing and organizing events all year round. With large corporations and companies such as SunGroup, FLC, Flamingo , Van Phu Invest... investing heavily in high-end resort infrastructure, coastal tourism areas with full amenities such as spas, golf courses, entertainment complexes, cuisine, conference rooms... In addition, the organization of cultural, sports and entertainment events at the end of the year is also carefully calculated to maintain the continuous pace of tourism development, avoiding the "freezing" situation after the summer peak season.

Ms. Tran Thi Nga, Director of Vietravel - Thanh Hoa Branch, shared: “We have determined that autumn - winter is no longer the low season as before, but also an opportunity to reposition products, approach new customer groups such as businesses organizing seminars, elderly guests needing to relax, or young people who love experiential travel. In particular, tours taking tourists to Pu Luong, Lam Kinh, Thanh Nha Ho, combined with relaxation in Sam Son, are attracting many visitors from Hanoi and the South. We also invest heavily in digital media, especially social networking platforms to approach customers in the most intuitive and intimate way”.

According to representatives of some travel agencies, the strategy to approach customers during this year's fall-winter tourist season, the factor of regional connection and linkage will be one of the key solutions. In particular, promoting linkages with businesses in provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, Ha Tinh to build heritage connection tours, event tourism. On that basis, businesses together form a service supply network, from transportation, accommodation to restaurants and accompanying services, to ensure consistent quality and optimize costs for tourists during the "low season".

In addition, it is impossible not to mention the active support role from all levels, sectors, and local authorities in supporting businesses in the fall and winter. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa has developed tourism promotion programs at the end of the year, organized famtrips, presstrips, especially stimulating demand with attractive service incentive packages. Events such as "Western Thanh Hoa Trade and Tourism Fair 2025", "Folklore and Propaganda Festival", "Pu Luong Forest Marathon", or "Lam Kinh Festival" ... will be held in the fall, contributing to creating highlights and attracting visitors to Thanh Hoa in the last months of the year.

With the spirit of initiative and efforts to spread the image of "Four Seasons' Fragrance", we believe that Thanh Hoa tourism in the fall - winter of 2025 will no longer be a "silent moment" as before, but will become a "light music" but full of depth, attracting tourists with the gentle beauty of nature, cultural depth and the warmth of people. The fact that tourism businesses are "winding up" early is not only a sign of a promising tourist season, but also shows a strong change in the thinking of developing four-season tourism - a prerequisite for Thanh Hoa to reach far on the national and regional tourism map.
