On the evening of July 24, Lan Phuong caused a stir when she announced on her personal page that she and her Western husband had officially separated after 7 years together.
"There are visible wounds - someone will come to help bandage them. But there are wounds that lie deep inside, lasting for years, silently endured - no one can see but you. So it's hard to share or receive appropriate help. But I'm still here, trying every day, for myself, for my children. We are officially separated," she wrote.
Responding to reporters, Lan Phuong asked permission not to share more about her separation because she is in a difficult phase and will speak up when appropriate. The actress also confirmed that she is in the process of unilateral divorce from her Western husband.
They just welcomed their second daughter in March last year and during Tet they happily reunited in Vung Tau - Lan Phuong's hometown.
