Admission score for grade 10 of Hanoi specialized high school

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has just announced the exam scores and admission scores for grade 10 specialized high schools for the 2025-2026 school year.

The specific admission scores for grade 10 at Hanoi Specialized High School are as follows:

According to regulations, this year Hanoi announced exam scores and 10th grade admission scores at the same time to avoid confusing information for students and parents.

Currently, Hanoi has 4 specialized high schools: Hanoi - Amsterdam (Ams), Nguyen Hue, Chu Van An and Son Tay.

This year, the chemistry class of Hanoi Amsterdam High School for the Gifted had the highest standard score of 42.75 points, the biology class had the lowest standard score of 34 points. The Chinese and history classes also had the lowest standard scores of 37.15 and 37.25.

At Chu Van An High School for the Gifted, the chemistry class also has a high standard score of 40 points, while the French class has the lowest standard score of 30.20 points, and the biology class has 35.50 points.

Nguyen Hue High School for the Gifted, chemistry class takes 38.25 points, history class takes 33.25 points.

Son Tay High School for the Gifted, classes specialized in literature, chemistry, and math have higher benchmark scores, 34.25 points, 31.50 points, and 32 points respectively.

In the 2025-2026 school year, the enrollment target for grade 10 for 4 specialized schools in Hanoi is 2,730 students, corresponding to 78 classes. Compared to the previous school year, the target for specialized groups in the 2025-2026 school year increased by nearly 500 students.

specifically, Chu Van An High School for the Gifted increased from 533 to 665 quotas, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted increased from 763 to 840 quotas, Nguyen Hue High School for the Gifted increased from 600 to 700 quotas, and Son Tay High School for the Gifted increased from 349 to 525 quotas.

Candidates in Hanoi can register their wishes to be admitted to the 10th grade of two specialized high schools. Candidates applying to specialized schools must take exams in math, literature, foreign language (general subjects) and specialized subjects.

The admission score to specialized schools is the total score of the three subjects math, literature, and foreign language in the general exam (coefficient 1) plus the specialized subject score (coefficient 2), plus priority and incentive points (if any).

According to Hanoi's schedule, schools will receive exam result reports to issue to students by July 8. Students who wish to have their exams reviewed must submit their applications between July 4 and July 10.

From July 10 to July 12, admitted students must confirm their enrollment (online or in person). On July 17, schools that do not have enough students will enroll additional students, and from July 19 to July 22, admitted students will confirm their enrollment.

On July 28, candidates will receive the results of the exam review and from July 28 to July 30, schools will continue to process student records after the review and successful candidates (after the review) will confirm their enrollment.

Previously, the entrance exam for grade 10 in the 2025-2026 school year in Hanoi took place on June 7 and 9 for both specialized and non-specialized groups.

Hanoi has nearly 104,000 candidates registered to take the entrance exam to grade 10 public high schools. The enrollment quota for public high schools in Hanoi accounts for about 64% of the number of candidates, about 2% higher than last year.
