Products will be discounted during the specified time frame from 5-7pm, lasting from now until July 3, helping consumers ease their spending burden during the recent price storm.
Thanks to constantly hunting for promotions at Co.opmart supermarket, I also save millions of dong on grocery shopping every month.

Goods are getting more expensive
In Ho Chi Minh City, many goods have seen their prices increase recently. In markets such as Pham Van Hai Market (Tan Binh District), Ba Chieu Market (Binh Thanh District), Nguyen Tri Phuong Market (District 5), many essential foods such as meat, fish, vegetables, and fruits are also priced higher than at the beginning of the year.
The soaring prices of essential food products have caused many housewives in Ho Chi Minh City to have headaches with the problem of daily living expenses.
Turning over and over a bunch of lettuce at a vegetable stall in Ba Chieu market, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Trinh (living in Binh Thanh district) complained that the price of lettuce is up to 50,000 VND/kg, "quite high!".
Calculating the expenses for family meals, Ms. Trinh said that in the context of rising prices, income does not increase, or even decreases, making balancing living expenses more burdensome.
“Now, when I leave the house, I have to carefully calculate what to buy to save money and be reasonable. I can't spend freely like before, especially with the high prices of goods nowadays,” said Ms. Trinh.
Meanwhile, Ms. Le Thi Quynh Huong (living in Binh Thanh district) also complained that shopping at this time is like solving a difficult problem, adding here, subtracting there.
“Not only food, other goods such as shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, and household appliances are also expensive, so we have to “think hard” and shop as economically as possible to avoid running out of family budget,” said Ms. Huong.
To cope with the price storm, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong (living in District 10) chose to "hunt" for discounted goods at supermarkets. Ms. Hong said that supermarkets often have promotional programs and buy discounted goods, so she always spends the weekend looking for deeply discounted goods to use all week.
Accordingly, Ms. Hong keeps the supermarket's "Shopping Guide" ready and follows the Facebook pages of the system and shopping centers. Whenever there is a product that is "running" a promotion program or has a deep discount during holidays and Tet, Ms. Hong will buy a large quantity, even enough to use for half a year.
In addition to “hunting for sales” on essential items, Ms. Hong also regularly visits supermarkets to buy fresh foods such as meat, fish, vegetables and fruits. According to Ms. Hong, these items often have deep discounts of up to 50% but are still very fresh and delicious if used on the same day.
Thanks to constantly hunting for supermarket promotions, Ms. Hong said she also saves millions of dong on grocery shopping every month.
