Speed ​​up projects and expand clean water networks in rural areas.

(Baohatinh.vn) - The Ha Tinh Center for Rural Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation is speeding up the progress of projects to repair and upgrade water supply works to gradually expand the clean water network in rural areas.

These days, at the construction site of the project to repair and upgrade the Bac Cam Xuyen water supply network system for Cam Vinh commune (old), now Cam Binh commune, the construction atmosphere is taking place very urgently.

Workers are actively working on the project site to repair and upgrade the Bac Cam Xuyen water supply network system supplying Cam Vinh commune (old), now Cam Binh commune.

The contractor has arranged teams of workers, divided into shifts, and increased shifts to focus on implementing the construction of the D40 - D200 pipeline distribution network running through Cam Binh commune; and restored the concrete surface at the locations where the pipeline system is installed.

The project has a total investment of 11 billion VND, invested by the Ha Tinh Center for Rural Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation (NS&VSMTNT). The main items include: reviewing and upgrading the water supply system; replacing 15 km of old pipes with HDPE pipes with high durability and longevity, meeting technical requirements and clean water quality standards.

Mr. Le Thai Bao - Head of the Bac Cam Xuyen Water Supply Team, in charge of supervising the project, said: "Up to now, the project has reached about 80% progress. We are mobilizing maximum human resources, equipment, and materials to complete on schedule, put the project into operation at the end of this year, ensuring stable and quality water supply for more than 1,760 households."

The construction unit quickly returned the site to the households after construction.

The construction process took place over a large area and took a long time, but the water supply for the people was still guaranteed by the unit. Ms. Bui Thi Nguyet - Nam Bac Thanh village, Cam Binh commune said: "The construction units were quite neat and quickly returned the land to the households after the construction. During the construction process, the domestic water source was still supplied regularly, ensuring quality even during storms and rains, so we were quite assured."

In recent times, the Ha Tinh Center for Rural Water Supply and Sanitation has been implementing a series of projects to expand the network, upgrade and build new centralized water supply works to increase the rate of households using clean water, serving the goal of building new rural areas in the period of 2022 - 2025.

Mrs. Bui Thi Nguyet's family and other households have stable water supply even during stormy days.

In addition to the project to repair and upgrade the Bac Cam Xuyen water supply network system for the old Cam Vinh commune, the center was also assigned to be the investor of 6 other projects from the national target program capital.

Of which, 4 projects have been completed and put into use, including: Expanding the Thien Loc domestic water supply system to supply Vuong Loc commune; Investing in the construction and expansion of the Bac Cam Xuyen domestic water supply system to supply Cam Quang commune; Expanding the Bac Cam Xuyen domestic water supply system to supply Cam My commune; Replacing the water supply source for the domestic water supply system to supply Thach Son commune (project names follow the old administrative unit).

Rural clean water projects are being implemented and are expected to be completed in 2025.

Projects to upgrade and expand the Thien Loc water supply project to supply water to Vuong Loc commune; Repair and upgrade and expand the Thach Bang water supply project (supplying water to Binh An and Tan Loc communes) are in progress and expected to be completed this year (project names follow the old administrative units).

In parallel, the center also received 8 centralized water supply projects invested by localities, assigned by the Provincial People's Committee to the center for management, operation and exploitation; gradually improving the efficiency of exploiting the projects and serving the needs of the people.

Ha Tinh Center for Rural Water Supply and Sanitation currently supplies water to more than 38,000 households.

Mr. Ho Dinh Hoai - Deputy Director of the Center for Rural Water Supply and Sanitation in Ha Tinh said: "The projects that have been and are being implemented in the province, in addition to providing clean water sources with guaranteed quality for people, also contribute significantly to helping localities complete the clean water criteria in new rural construction. We are focusing on urging, directing, and coordinating with relevant units to speed up the progress, ensure the quality of the projects, and strive to complete the projects in 2025, meeting the clean water needs of more than 38,000 households in rural areas of Ha Tinh".

These synchronous efforts are contributing to solving the "thirst" for clean water for rural people, ensuring a stable and safe life, and at the same time, creating an important driving force in the roadmap for building sustainable new rural areas in Ha Tinh.
