Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 5, on August 23 and 24, Xuan Hoa Border Guard Station ( Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command) synchronously deployed many storm prevention and control measures to ensure the safety of people's lives and property.
In the Cu Mong lagoon area, where hundreds of aquaculture cages are concentrated, officers and soldiers of Xuan Hoa Border Guard Station divided into many working groups, directly went to each farming area, guided people to anchor, tie cages, and reinforce temporary houses along the shore before the storm made landfall .
Along with that, the unit also organized propaganda, calling on fishermen not to go to sea during dangerous times. Fishermen who were far away and had not yet reached shore were also notified and guided through the communication system, promptly moving to a safe shelter .
Previously, following the direction of the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command, Xuan Hoa Border Guard Station strictly maintained combat readiness, regularly updated weather conditions, and provided information to each ship and raft owner. Working groups closely followed the area, grasped the number of ships and workers working at sea and along the shore, developed response plans, and prepared rescue forces in case of emergency.
Up to now, all vehicles in the area have safely anchored and reached the shore; more than 400 aquaculture cages have been firmly secured and reinforced. The station's communication system is always maintained smoothly, ensuring timely reporting to superiors and close coordination with the authorities and functional forces in handling situations.
