Before the merger, Phu Son and Da Don communes both had outstanding and distinct characteristics, creating different identities and development foundations but complementing each other harmoniously.
Phu Son Commune (old) is a land with a tradition of large-scale agricultural production with key crops such as coffee. Thanks to favorable natural conditions, fertile red basalt soil, and steep terrain, Phu Son quickly became a specialized high-tech agricultural area, with value chain linkage models between people and businesses and cooperatives. The locality is also notable for its dynamism in trade development and new rural construction.
Meanwhile, Da Don commune (old) is known as a multicultural land, home to many ethnic minorities such as K'Ho, Ma, Nung, Tay. The commune has strengths in combined agricultural and forestry production, developing small-scale livestock models, growing mulberry and raising silkworms, and producing traditional indigenous products. These are potentials for developing community-based eco-cultural tourism .
The merger of two communes into Phu Son Lam Ha helps to streamline the apparatus, improve management efficiency and create a new development space. The new Phu Son Lam Ha commune harmoniously combines modern agricultural economy and traditional culture; between a strongly developed region and a region rich in potential. This, when promoted and exploited well, will create a solid foundation for building Phu Son Lam Ha commune to develop comprehensively and sustainably.
Outstanding achievements in the period 2020 - 2025
Despite many objective difficulties, the past term has recorded outstanding efforts of the Party Committee, government and people here. The average economic growth rate in 5 years reached 7.33%/year; of which, the agriculture - forestry - fishery sector increased by 6.92%, industry - construction by 7.62%, services by 8.2%. The economic structure has shifted in a positive direction: agriculture accounts for 57%, trade - services 26.6%, industry - construction 16.4%. The average income per capita by the end of 2025 is estimated at 72.2 million VND/year. Local budget revenue increases by an average of 20.6%/year.
However, the economy of Phu Son Lam Ha commune is still not really stable and sustainable. Industrial production is still small-scale. Ethnic minority areas still face many difficulties. Planning management and construction order are sometimes not strict. The new rural construction movement has not achieved the desired results.
Resolute action in the new term
The 1st Congress of the Party Committee of Phu Son Lam Ha commune, term 2025 - 2030, determined the general goal for the term 2025 - 2030 as "Promoting the strength of great national unity, continuing to innovate, improving the leadership capacity of the Party Committee, the management and operation efficiency of the government; developing the economy quickly and sustainably; building Phu Son Lam Ha to meet advanced new rural standards".
To do that, Phu Son Lam Ha will focus on transforming the economic structure towards developing advantageous industries. The focus is on promoting trade - services, small-scale industry; improving the quality of agricultural production by applying science - technology; developing local specialties, promoting on digital platforms. The locality focuses on calling for investment in industries such as: renewable energy, livestock, eco-tourism - cultural services. The commune focuses on developing specialized areas for coffee, fruit trees, mulberry according to organic standards, linked to the value chain and domestic consumption - export.
Along with that, Phu Son Lam Ha commune develops a harmonious combination of traditional and modern culture. Promote digital transformation in cultural management, build local human standards: patriotism, honesty, loyalty, responsibility, discipline, solidarity. The political system from commune to village continues to be arranged in the direction of streamlining, effectiveness, efficiency, close to the people. Party committees at all levels innovate the content of Party cell activities, promote democracy and Party members' intelligence. Localities focus on solutions to improve the leadership capacity of the Party, the operational efficiency of the government, and the supervision quality of the People's Council.
With the highest political determination, the entire Party Committee of Phu Son Lam Ha commune maintains and improves the quality of new rural criteria, building Phu Son Lam Ha commune to meet the standards of an advanced new rural commune. Promote all potentials and resources to promote economic restructuring in the direction of "Agriculture - trade - services, industry and handicrafts". Accelerate economic growth, take agricultural development as the focus, as a pillar for the economic development of the commune and household economy. Develop sustainable, modern, effective agricultural economy, green agriculture, circular agriculture with large-scale specialized production areas of high-quality coffee. Improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization; improve the capacity and effectiveness of management and administration of the government; continue to innovate the methods of operation, improve the quality of operations of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations. Mobilizing the combined strength of the entire political system, businesses and people of all walks of life to build Phu Son Lam Ha commune increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.
