Da Nang encourages orders from creative startups

DNVN - Implementing the conclusion of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Quang Buu at the regular meeting with the startup community, the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang has issued a document encouraging orders for products, services, and solutions from creative startups in the city.

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) of Da Nang encourages departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of communes, wards, corporations and enterprises in the city to participate in connecting, cooperating in testing and applying innovative products, services and solutions.

According to Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang Nguyen Thanh Hong, this activity aims to create conditions for connecting and supporting innovative startups in the city to find outlets for products, services and solutions from businesses. Thereby contributing to promoting the development of the innovative startup ecosystem, contributing to the sustainable socio -economic development of the city.

Previously, as reported by Vietnam Business , on August 12, Vice Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee Ho Quang Buu and leaders of the city's Department of Science and Technology had a meeting and discussion with representatives of business incubators, investment funds, universities, colleges, startups... with the topic "Finding outlets for startup products".

At the meeting, FundGo Danang Innovative Startup Investment Fund and Control & Automation Solutions Company Limited (CAS) proposed that Danang City “place orders” for startups to solve practical problems. Create conditions for testing new solutions, attract experts to play the role of “chief architect” for the innovative startup ecosystem. Regularly organize connections to call for capital, in-depth training and promote international markets.

Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ho Quang Buu affirmed that the city will continue to accompany and perfect mechanisms and policies to promote the development of the Da Nang innovative startup ecosystem, not only finding outlets but also bringing the city's startup products to the world. He requested the Department of Science and Technology to regularly monitor, promptly commend and reward, and support outstanding projects; and strengthen communication to spread successful models.

The City Center for Supporting Innovative Startups and Innovations needs to coordinate with corporations and state agencies to come up with at least a few “problems” to order each month, have a mechanism to secure ideas and select suitable businesses. This will be an important output, linking the value of specific solutions to market needs and contributing to building a dynamic and sustainable innovative startup ecosystem for Da Nang.
