According to the latest data from the i-Speed speed measurement platform (under the Vietnam Internet Network Information Center - VNNIC, Ministry of Science and Technology ), in August 2025, the average download speed of the fixed broadband network nationwide reached 271.2 Mbps and the upload speed reached 200.99 Mbps. This is the sixth consecutive month that network quality has improved since the increase in March 2025.
In major cities, network quality in major cities such as Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, and Can Tho is generally stable, with only slight fluctuations. Da Nang City alone recorded a significant increase, approaching the peak speed reached in May 2025.


Viettel and VNPT continue to be the two network operators with the highest Internet speed, continuously setting speed records. Viettel's download speed reached 318.71 Mbps, upload speed 266.24 Mbps. VNPT also recorded a download speed of 247.77 Mbps and upload speed 184.24 Mbps.


Other carriers maintained stable quality such as: CMC Telecom achieved download speed of 270.62 Mbps, upload speed of 270.4 Mbps; FPT Telecom at 121.7 Mbps and 99.5 Mbps respectively.
The average nationwide mobile broadband speed in August 2025 was 81.04 Mbps for download and 28.37 Mbps for upload. Of which, the network quality of VNPT, MobiFone and Vietnamobile improved compared to July 2025, while Viettel saw a slight but insignificant decrease in mobile network speed.

Viettel and VNPT are still the two leading network operators in terms of mobile broadband network speed. Specifically, Viettel achieved 92.66 Mbps download and 29.52 Mbps upload while VNPT achieved 72.12 Mbps and 28.24 Mbps respectively.
Da Nang City in August 2025 witnessed a sharp decrease in mobile broadband network speed from . While the remaining provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Hai Phong, Can Tho and Ho Chi Minh City witnessed similar measurement statistics as the quality of fixed broadband network.

In August 2025, the quality of the 5G mobile broadband network nationwide recorded a stable level, with an average download speed of 432.75 Mbps and an average upload speed of 101.04 Mbps.
In particular, the notable highlight belongs to MobiFone, with a download speed of 411.04 Mbps, nearly double that of July, thereby surpassing VNPT to rise to second place in 5G network speed.

Viettel continued to lead in 5G network speed last month, with download speeds of up to 457.26 Mbps and upload speeds of 106 Mbps.
VNPT network quality recorded stable with download speed reaching 313.15 Mbps and upload speed 51.59 Mbps.

In terms of mobile broadband speeds in major cities, Da Nang continues to lead with an impressive average network speed of 609.68 Mbps. Hai Phong, ranked second, also had a dramatically faster 5G mobile broadband speed compared to July, reaching 561.67 Mbps.
The remaining cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Can Tho maintained stable network quality with download speeds of 367.61 Mbps, 237.7 Mbps, and 210.78 Mbps, respectively.
