TBM 2 Metro Nhon Robot has entered S10 station

At 11:00 a.m. on September 15, TBM tunnel boring robot No. 2 named "Bold" officially entered the S10 - Cat Linh underground station, completing a 1,353 m long drilling section from S9 - Kim Ma station, this is an important technical milestone in the construction of the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station Metro tunnel section.

Deployed since February 3, 2025, TBM 2 “Bold” has installed a total of 902 tunnel lining rings, strictly complying with safety, technical and environmental standards.

This result demonstrates the sense of responsibility and persistent efforts of the entire team of officers, engineers, experts and project workers.

The simultaneous operation of two TBMs demonstrates the mastery of tunnel construction technology of Vietnamese contractors.

Up to now, package CP03 - Tunnels and underground stations has reached 66.46% progress.

Tunnel lining casting work has completed 2,939/3,488 rounds, meeting the parallel operation of two TBMs.

Underground stations are implementing auxiliary construction, S12 station is constructing the base slab, underground slope area and vertical shaft continue to excavate and construct structures.

The project's two TBMs were manufactured by Herrenknecht (Germany), more than 100 m long, weighing 850 tons, operating in a closed system with a maximum drilling speed of 60mm/minute.

The Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro project is a key transport project of the capital, contributing to reducing traffic congestion, improving public transport and protecting the environment.
