Promoting the role of lawyers in life

A criminal trial has a lawyer present.

Currently, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Bar Association has 72 lawyers and 19 law practice organizations. Since the beginning of the year, the team of lawyers in Thai Nguyen province has participated in about 200 cases of all kinds, including over 80 criminal and civil cases and hundreds of marriage and family counseling, commercial business and labor cases. This number shows that the demand for legal aid in society is increasing.

In the economic field, the presence of lawyers is increasingly evident. Currently, law offices in the province have implemented many consulting contracts for businesses. Not only stopping at participating in litigation, lawyers are also companions with businesses on the path of development.

In the context of international integration and increasingly fierce competition, lawyers help businesses draft and evaluate contracts, provide legal advice on investment, trade, labor, intellectual property, etc. Thereby, businesses not only avoid legal risks but can also take advantage of opportunities for sustainable development.

In addition to professional activities, many lawyers also participate in free legal aid programs for the poor and policy beneficiaries. In 2024 and 9 months of 2025, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Bar Association coordinated with the Department of Justice to organize over 30 legal consultation sessions for ethnic minority people and students in the province.

Lawyer Nguyen Thi Thanh Nghia, Head of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Bar Association, shared: In addition to professional work, members of our Bar Association also participate in legal aid activities, free consultation, and legal education for the people. When people understand the law, they will know how to protect their own rights and avoid violating the law. This contributes to building a fair and disciplined society.

It can be affirmed that the team of lawyers is an important part of the judicial support system, actively contributing to the process of building a socialist rule-of-law state. Lawyers not only directly protect the legitimate rights and interests of citizens and organizations in cases and lawsuits, but also play a consulting role, accompanying people and businesses in many areas of life.

Mr. Tran Viet Dung, Deputy Director of the Thai Nguyen Department of Justice, assessed: The development of the current team of lawyers has created a bridge to bring the law closer to society, raise awareness of law compliance, limit disputes and legal risks. The role, responsibility and prestige of lawyers are increasingly affirmed, contributing greatly to the sustainable development of society.

Lawyers are not only “protectors of justice” in cases but also an important bridge to help people, businesses and society access and comply with the law. The presence and contribution of the team of lawyers has contributed to protecting the rights and legitimate interests of citizens, promoting transparency and fairness in social life, and raising awareness of the rule of law in the community.
