Chinese humanoid robot works in real factory for first time
Technology company AgiBot recently demonstrated its A2-W humanoid robot team in action at an auto parts factory in Mianyang. During a 3-hour livestream, the robots identified packages, planned their own routes, and delivered them to the correct locations – handling more than 800 packages per shift with near-perfect accuracy.

During operation, the robot can avoid obstacles, adjust its grip, and adapt to complex environments thanks to a neural network developed by startup ANU. According to engineers from the Fulin factory, the robot has higher precision than humans and operates continuously 24/7.
China is entering a phase of commercializing humanoid robots – from “AI vocational school” training robots to do housework in Shanghai to a research center that opens up a motion control framework in Beijing. AgiBot’s leaders expect that in the next 1–2 years, multitasking robots will collaborate with engineers and automated systems, leading to unmanned smart factories.
