Commune police made achievements

Implementing the two-level police, the tasks of the commune, ward and special zone police forces in Quang Ninh province are much heavier than before. The tasks that were previously the responsibility of the district-level police force are now undertaken by the commune, ward and special zone police. This requires the courage and professional qualifications of the commune-level police to be increasingly higher and more elite, thereby maintaining security, order and social safety, and protecting peace for the people right from the grassroots level.

As the core force in ensuring security and order at the grassroots level, the commune-level police force after the merger has been strengthened in both quantity and quality, meeting the requirements of the tasks in the new situation, with expanded areas, dense population, more and more complex tasks. However, with the innovation in the organization of the apparatus, the commune-level police force has promoted its role of staying close to the grassroots, staying close to the people, grasping emerging issues from afar, early, and handling many cases as soon as they arise. With such an approach, after a period of arrangement and merger, the commune-level police force has gradually affirmed its important role in many tasks, especially ensuring security and order, with many achievements.

Recently, Mong Cai 1 Ward Police received a report from Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyen (born in 1990, residing at 173 Huu Nghi Street, Mong Cai 1 Ward) about a burglary at her home at night and stealing two iPhone 11 and iPhone 13 ProMax mobile phones. Immediately upon receiving the report, Mong Cai 1 Ward Police deployed professional measures, investigated and clarified the case. After only 8 hours, Mong Cai 1 Ward Police arrested the thief, Nguyen Van Tuan (born in 2007, residing in Thac Han area, Mong Cai 2 Ward). Moved by the sense of responsibility and dedication to serving the people, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyen wrote a letter of thanks to the officers and soldiers of Mong Cai 1 Ward Police.

Quang Hanh Ward Police coordinated with the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department's Working Group, Provincial Police to eradicate an illegal drug trafficking ring.

Next, Cam Pha Ward Police received a report from a local resident about the loss of a silver-black Honda Wave motorbike, license plate number 34B3-540.66, at Group 2, Zone 5, Cam Pha Ward. Cam Pha Ward Police deployed investigation measures and tracked down the perpetrator. After 5 hours of investigation, the Ward Police arrested Ha Duy Tung (born in 1989, residing in Group 3, Thong Nhat Area, Cam Pha Ward), the perpetrator of the motorbike theft.

With the determination to strive to keep the area and facilities free of drugs, the police force of communes, wards and special zones in the province has coordinated with the professional departments of the provincial police to develop a plan to patrol, control, closely monitor the area, detect and handle many cases related to drugs.

For example, in area 1B, Quang Hanh ward, Quang Hanh ward police coordinated with the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department's Working Group to inspect and discover that Truong Quoc Tuan, born in 1986, residing in area 1A, Quang Hanh ward, was illegally using drugs. Proceeding to investigate and expand the case, the police force urgently arrested 3 more subjects in an illegal drug trafficking ring, including: Hoang Thi Dung, born in 1981, residing in group 9, Ngo Quyen area, Cam Pha ward; Hoang Van Phuong, born in 1962 and Nguyen Hai Nam, born in 1986, both residing in Quang Hanh ward; confiscating 6.75 grams of various drugs and many other evidences.

At group 10, zone 1, Viet Hung ward, Viet Hung ward police coordinated with the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department's Working Group to arrest Pham Van Manh (born in 1992, residing in group 2, zone 7, Viet Hung ward) for illegally possessing 0.301 grams of methamphetamine. Expanding the investigation, the police force also arrested 2 more related subjects, seizing 2.407 grams of methamphetamine.

Along with ensuring security and order, the police force of communes, wards and special zones also plays an important role in ensuring traffic order and safety at the grassroots level, in communes, wards, remote areas. Along with that, they are the core force in propagating laws and building traffic culture in the locality.

After the reorganization and merger, although the workload increased many times, the area was larger, the population was larger, and more complicated problems arose, with the spirit of solidarity, discipline, and wholehearted service to the people, the police force of communes, wards, and special zones in the province was determined to overcome all difficulties and hardships, ensuring the maintenance of security and order, social safety, and traffic safety, and being a solid support for the people in the new situation, thereby creating an important foundation for the locality to develop sustainably.
