Gathering famous artists with strong patriotic messages, 2 "national concerts": "Fatherland in the heart" organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper and Hanoi People's Committee and "V Concert" with the theme "Radiant Vietnam" produced by Vietnam Television attracted the attention of a large audience.
Arouse patriotism
The ticket registration portal for the show "Fatherland in the Heart" "crashed" after only 9 minutes of opening, with about 3 million scans and 20,000 successful registrations. Meanwhile, all tickets for the "V Concert - Radiant Vietnam" concert were also "sold out" after only a few days of opening.
"V Concert - Radiant Vietnam" took place on the evening of August 9 at the Vietnam Exhibition Center, gathering many beloved artists, representing the new spirit and new energy of Vietnamese music today such as Ha Anh Tuan, Den, Noo Phuoc Thinh, Ho Ngoc Ha, Truc Nhan, Hoang Thuy Linh, Hoa Minzy, Toc Tien, Phuong My Chi, Rhyder, Quang Hung MasterD... Taking on the role of Music Director of "V Concert" is the famous music group DTAP with the ability to smoothly combine traditional and modern music, creating hits for many artists, most recently Phuong My Chi in "Sing! Carrying a profound message of patriotism, the desire for independence, freedom and happiness, "Fatherland in the Heart" took place on the evening of August 10 at My Dinh National Stadium, Hanoi. The program recreated heroic milestones in the nation's history through the image of the red flag with a yellow star. The artistic performances were elaborately staged, rich in emotion, combining traditional and modern elements, bringing the audience closer to the sacred values of the Fatherland.
One of the emotional highlights of the program was the moment when 50,000 spectators stood up, turned towards the red flag with a yellow star fluttering in the middle of the stadium and sang the National Anthem in unison. "Fatherland in the Heart" brought together leading artists from many generations such as People's Artist Thu Huyen, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, singers Tung Duong, Pham Thu Ha, Ha Le, Noo Phuoc Thinh, Toc Tien, Thanh Duy, Suboi, Dong Hung, OPlus Band... along with typical sports figures such as Quang Hai, Anh Vien, Le Van Cong...
This "national concert" also attracted attention with the performance of 68 soldiers from the Army Officer School 1, who represented the Vietnam People's Army in the parade at Red Square (Moscow - Russia) and the 8-minute fireworks display, closing the art night. Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Le Quoc Minh expressed his desire to create a program covered in red from the stage to the stands. This is not just an art program, but a "symphony of patriotism".
The special feature of these two programs lies in the harmonious combination of political and mass appeal. While music programs organized by private enterprises often focus on entertainment and profit optimization, "Fatherland in the Heart" and "V Concert - Radiant Vietnam" aim to arouse patriotism and honor the cultural and historical values of the nation.
Both events attracted great public attention, especially among young people - a group that is considered difficult to access political content. The "National Concert" with its free ticket policy created a large attraction, while the "V Concert" was successful in "measuring" the market through ticket sales, with tickets being eagerly sought after by the audience.
Open up great opportunities
The "national concerts" held in August with the spirit of Vietnamese pride demonstrate the role of state agencies and local authorities in creating professional art spaces, contributing to promoting the development of the cultural industry.
Popular music, with its wide reach and ability to create a great community effect, is becoming one of the important pillars in the national cultural industry development strategy. However, programs with strong political content, promoting patriotism, and honoring national cultural and historical values still create great attraction for the public.
Journalist Le Quoc Minh emphasized: "Fatherland in the Heart" is an event that arouses national pride, connects historical memories with the present, and inspires aspirations for the future. The role of the press in leading and creating a spiritual and cultural space is clearly demonstrated, contributing to spreading positive values in society."
Similarly, VTV Deputy General Director Do Thanh Hai said: "V Concert is part of VTV's long-term strategy to actively participate in the chain of creativity and development of the cultural industry. These efforts not only affirm the social responsibility of major media agencies but also lay the foundation for a vibrant cultural ecosystem, where traditional values are creatively expressed to reach a wide audience."
The success of the two "national concerts" also opens up opportunities for state agencies and local authorities to participate more deeply in the cultural sector. In the context of the cultural industry being identified by the Government as one of the pillars of socio-economic development, "Fatherland in the Heart" or "V Concert - Radiant Vietnam" is proof that the state can play a leading role, orienting and organizing large-scale cultural activities.
This not only helps improve the quality of cultural products but also creates a diverse cultural ecosystem where traditional values are preserved and promoted, while meeting the entertainment and educational needs of the public. These events also provide lessons on how to combine art, ideology and economics. The success of "V Concert" in ticket sales shows that the Vietnamese cultural market is ready to accept political products if they are properly invested.
This is a positive signal, encouraging other agencies, organizations and localities to boldly organize similar art programs. These events not only contribute to building the national cultural brand but also create economic opportunities, from ticket sales, sponsorship to promoting tourism and other cultural products.
"Experts say that state agencies can learn from this model to organize more large-scale cultural events, thereby creating a system of diverse cultural products that are competitive in the international market.
