Speaking at the event, Chairman of the UNESCO Hanoi Travel Club Truong Quoc Hung said that the seminar was an opportunity for businesses to expand their products and develop tours to Turkey, an attractive destination in terms of culture, history and nature. He emphasized the role of the Club in connecting and promoting international cooperation in promoting two-way tourism between Vietnam and Turkey: “We see tourism not only as an economic driver but also as a bridge for dialogue, understanding and partnership. When people travel, they bring new perspectives and bring back unforgettable memories. That is also what we want to foster between Turkey and Vietnam.”

Ambassador Korhan Kemik affirmed that Türkiye is an ideal destination with the cultural exchange between Asia and Europe, possessing many outstanding landscapes such as Istanbul, Cappadocia, Pamukkale and the Mediterranean Sea. As of June 2024, Turkey welcomed nearly 20 million international visitors, an increase of 13.5% over the same period last year, including a significant increase from the Vietnamese market.

The Ambassador also informed that from September 1, 2025, Vietnamese citizens will be allowed to apply for an electronic visa (e-Visa) online when traveling to Türkiye, helping to shorten procedures, increase flexibility and convenience for tourists. He expected that this policy would not only promote tourism but also expand cultural, educational and economic cooperation between the two countries. “We believe that this development will not only contribute to increasing the number of Vietnamese tourists to Türkiye, but also bring positive impacts in other areas such as cultural cooperation, educational exchanges, official tourism and economic cooperation on a larger scale.”
