The special national art program "80 years of Independence-Freedom-Happiness journey" is directed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

With a grand scale, elaborate script consisting of 3 chapters, in 180 minutes, the program brings together nearly 3,000 professional and amateur artists.

This is not only a grandiose art space but also an emotional journey, taking the audience back in history to look back at the nation's 80-year journey in the cause of gaining independence, freedom, unification and building and protecting the country, opening up the aspiration for an integrated and prosperous Vietnam.

The opening chapter, titled "The Road to Independence and Unification", recreates the heroic history of the nation from the long night of slavery to the day President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945, the Dien Bien Phu victory and the Great Spring Victory of 1975, unifying the country.

The highlight is the symphony "My Fatherland" resounding like a call to arms combining the symphony and folk orchestra with more than 1,000 dancers opening a grand choral picture of love for the homeland; immediately following is the content "Voluntary - Praising the Fatherland" continuing the emotional flow, evoking the spirit of dedication and the ideal of living for the Fatherland.

The historical atmosphere was pushed to a climax with the scene "Long Night of Slavery" - the image of leader Nguyen Ai Quoc on his journey to find a way to save the country, paving the way for a series of revolutionary songs such as "Footprints in the Front", "The Internationale", "Together We Go Red Soldiers", "Vietnamese Soldiers"... recreating the rising spirit of the revolutionary movement under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam .

The moving moment was the scene of “Declaration of Independence” recreating the sacred moment at the historic Ba Dinh Square; followed by musical works “Hanoi People”, “Lo River”, “Dien Bien Victory” and ending in joy with “Liberation of the South”, “The Country is Full of Joy”.

Chapter two “Aspiration for the Fatherland” opens up a renewed, developed and integrated Vietnam with images and artistic video clips that evoke the joyful atmosphere after the Great Victory of Spring 1975, when the country was unified. Immediately after that, the song “Em di giu bien vang” resounds in the space of modern folk music combined with “Hat ve cay lua hom nay”.

The atmosphere is conveyed by "Youthful Aspirations" with a modern nuance, affirming the pioneering spirit and desire to reach far of today's generation.

From there, “Welcome to Vietnam” was raised as an invitation to international friends, bringing the image of a youthful, friendly, hospitable country to friends from all over the world. Combined with stage effects, dance and LED projection, it opened up a vivid picture of a Vietnam that was innovative, integrated and full of aspirations.

Chapter three “My homeland, never so beautiful” has a strong contemporary tone connecting the past, present and future. It opens with a song and dance performance “The strength of unity - Joining hands together”.

The “Marching Song” resounds in the solemn atmosphere, blending with the singing of the children’s choir, symphony orchestra, dancers and mass forces.

Closing the program was the song "Love Vietnam's Smile" filled with faith sung by many generations of artists and choir, leaving behind echoes of a beautiful, united Vietnam full of aspirations to reach far.

The program brings together many generations of artists such as: People's Artist Thanh Lam, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Trong Tan, My Tam, Tung Duong, Den Vau, Soobin Hoang Son, Mono, Double2T, Lam Bao Ngoc, Hoang Bach, Dong Hung... with the participation of the groups Oplus, Ngu Cung, Dong Thoi Gian and many young artists.
