On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Ham Rong victory (April 3-4, 1965 - April 3-4, 2025), on the morning of March 27, comrade Do Minh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited and presented gifts to relatives of martyrs and militiamen who participated in the fight to protect Ham Rong bridge in Thanh Hoa city.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Do Minh Tuan and the provincial delegation visited, presented gifts and expressed gratitude to militia Nguyen Thi Xa (85 years old) in Phuong Dinh 2 street, Tao Xuyen ward, one of the 7 girls of Phuong village who directly participated in the fight and served in the fight to protect Ham Rong bridge; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tau (89 years old) in street 3, Tao Xuyen ward, wife of martyr Hoang Van Sang, militia of the 37m-E28 anti-aircraft position protecting Tao bridge and Ham Rong bridge; Mr. Nguyen Viet Dua (88 years old) in Phuong Dinh 1 street, Tao Xuyen ward, former commune team leader who directly commanded the militia force of Hoang Anh commune (old) to fight and serve in the fight to protect Ham Rong bridge. Mr. Dua was once given a pair of rubber sandals by Uncle Ho, which he sent to the provincial museum for display. He was also awarded the Second Class Military Exploit Medal by President Ho Chi Minh .

He emphasized: The Party, the State, local Party committees and authorities always remember the great contributions of the previous generations, of the heroic martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, cadres, soldiers and youth volunteers who fought bravely in the resistance wars to protect the Fatherland in general and the battle to protect Ham Rong bridge in particular. The victory of Ham Rong is an epic, a source of pride for the army and people of Thanh Hoa and the army and people of the whole country in the cause of national liberation and reunification.

At the same time, he hopes that the militia and relatives of martyrs' families will continue to promote the revolutionary tradition,educate their children and grandchildren to contribute their intelligence and efforts to build the homeland and country to become more civilized and prosperous.
