In a solemn atmosphere, delegates respectfully offered incense at the historical site of Mach Mang stream, commemorating the great contributions of the heroic martyrs who bravely fought and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and reunification.
The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council and the delegation visited former Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Le Hoang Quan, currently living in Tan Dong Hiep ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
The delegates reviewed the heroic revolutionary tradition, the hardships and sacrifices of the army and people of Di An in the past, as well as in the economic development process today.
Next, the delegation visited and presented gifts to war invalid Nguyen Van Chai (80 years old, residing in Tan Thang quarter, Tan Dong Hiep ward), a 1/4 class war invalid, infected with Agent Orange.
In a warm and joyful atmosphere, comrade Vo Van Minh kindly asked about his health and family life, expressed his deep gratitude and presented gifts from the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to Mr. Nguyen Van Chai.
At noon of the same day, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Vo Van Minh and the working delegation surveyed the Public Administration Service Center of Tan Dong Hiep ward, working on difficulties, obstacles and proposals in more than 3 weeks of official operation of the 2-level local government and the process of preparing for the ward party congress .
At the meeting, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council highly appreciated the initial results of Tan Dong Hiep ward, in which the model of free breakfast service at the public administrative center needs to continue to be promoted to better serve the people.
Regarding the ward's difficulties such as thin staff and the still-unsolved software system, comrade Vo Van Minh requested the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council to synthesize recommendations to submit to competent authorities for timely resolution.
He also requested the leaders of Tan Dong Hiep ward to synchronously deploy solutions to carry out non-territorial administrative procedures, digitize records, to shorten the time for processing administrative procedures, especially in the land sector.
Regarding the preparation for the congress, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council noted economic development solutions, because Tan Dong Hiep ward still has a lot of room for development, it is necessary to clearly identify major issues that impact the overall development to include in the documents of the ward Party Congress .
