Statistics from the independent box office website Box Office Vietnam (with errors) show that in the last 3 days of the weekend (from August 8 to 10), the movie Chot Don only earned a revenue of more than 2.3 billion VND with 25,341 tickets sold in 1,763 screenings.

As of 8:30 a.m. on August 11, the film had only grossed nearly VND2.8 billion. This is also one of the lowest-grossing Vietnamese films in 2025.

The reason why Chot Don did not receive support from the audience is because after its release, the work received many mixed opinions. Besides the praise for the acting of artists Hong Dao and Quyen Linh, the acting of the character played by AI was assessed as quite rough, stiff and not diverse in expression, especially in the psychological scenes.

Last week, the movie Mang Me Di Bo still maintained its No. 1 position on the box office chart. During the last 3 days of the weekend, the movie earned more than 27.5 billion VND with 288,799 tickets sold and 9,041 screenings. The movie currently has a total revenue of more than 136 billion VND.

Conan Movie 28: Afterimage of the One-Eyed continues to attract at the box office. In its third week of release at the box office, the film still maintains the number 2 position with a revenue of nearly 9.2 billion VND. The film currently has a total revenue of more than 164 billion VND. With this momentum, the film is about to surpass Doraemon 2025: Nobita and the Adventure into the World of Pictures to become the highest-grossing anime (animated film from Japanese comics) in Vietnam.

Last week, the number 3 spot on the box office chart belonged to My Dad's Sweet Zombie with a revenue of over 7.5 billion VND. The Korean family comedy film received many positive reviews and was well received by the audience.

This week, there were no new Vietnamese films released at the box office. However, a series of imported works are also worth noting.

Demon Slayer: Infinity Wall is expected to have good revenue at the box office. Although it has only been shown since August 11, the film has already had a very high pre-order revenue of nearly 9.6 billion VND.

In addition, there are also works: Super Weird Friday, Sticky, Anonymous 2, I have a disease to like you .
