The invigilators started distributing the exam papers at 2:20 p.m. and the candidates started taking the exam at 2:30 p.m. The exam time is 90 minutes.

Candidates need to remember the rules, on the exam day, if they arrive 15 minutes late from the test start time, they will not be allowed to enter the exam area for that subject.

Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training also issued notes to candidates about things to remember. Candidates need to have a firm grasp of the exam regulations, know what items are allowed in the exam room, and what items are prohibited to avoid violations.

The exam results are expected to be announced at 8am on July 16. By July 20 at the latest, high schools nationwide will complete the graduation recognition process and announce it to 12th graders.

According to initial assessment, the literature exam of this year's high school graduation exam closely follows the sample exam structure of the Ministry of Education and Training.

The question types closely follow the cognitive level according to the illustrated matrix structure. The language materials in the test are outside the textbook, in line with the spirit of innovation of the literature subject in the 2018 GeneralEducation Program.

"With this exam, I think the average score for literature this year is around 6.0 - 7.0 points. Good scores are for students with good skills and literary appreciation," said teacher Do Thanh Thuy, head of literature for grade 12, Lomonosop Secondary and High School (My Dinh, Hanoi ).

According to Dr. Trinh Thu Tuyet, a literature teacher at Luong The Vinh Secondary and High School in Hanoi, the biggest difference in the literature exam in the 2025 exam is that the materials for the reading comprehension and writing questions do not use texts from the three current textbooks.

This is the result of the innovation process of teaching and learning literature in high schools according to the 2018 General Education Program - when through reading comprehension texts in literature textbooks, teachers provide learners with knowledge of genres and Vietnamese, forming reading comprehension, appreciation, discussion, dialogue skills..., so that candidates can independently solve new problems of literature and life in the exam.

The official exam for literature closely followed the sample exam structure previously announced by the Ministry of Education and Training.
