On the afternoon of August 24, the final round of the Vovinam Dance 2025 competition took place at the VOH Music One theater (HCMC).

Vovinam Dance 2025 is a competition for students of all levels launched by the Vietnam Vovinam Federation in collaboration with Hanoi Television, VTV9 channel of Vietnam Television, and Ho Chi Minh City Radio (VOH) from March 18.

The contest is organized with the aim of contributing to spreading the spirit of solidarity, national pride and creating a cultural and sports event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification, the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

In addition, the competition also wants to contribute to spreading the spirit of Vovinam - Vietnamese martial arts, arousing national pride and creating a healthy, creative playground for young people not only in Vietnam but also around the world .

Entries are evaluated based on the following criteria: Vovinam technique, creativity, artistry, teamwork and stage effects.

After 4 months of competition, 8 teams: Ia Grai Gia Lai, Tran Giang Kids, Vovinam Phu Yen - Dak Lak, Kiem Bac Kien Giang (under 15 years old group), Linh Phong Vu, My Tho Dai Pho, Falcon, Hao Khi Tay Do (over 15 years old group) won the right to enter the final round.

Besides, there are 3 most outstanding individuals: Nguyen Ngoc Phong Thu, Nguyen Huynh Thien Phuong, Nguyen Ho Hong Duong.

The final round took place in a very exciting atmosphere with explosive performances, harmoniously combining martial arts music, sound - light and profound cultural messages.

As a result, the individual championship belonged to Nguyen Huynh Thien Phuong. The first place in the under 15 age group belonged to Tran Giang Kids. The champion in the over 15 age group belonged to Falcon.

Martial music is a creative, modern breath based on the foundation of Vovinam Viet Vo Dao - a traditional martial art of Vietnam founded by martial artist Nguyen Loc in 1938.

Martial arts music is a combination of martial arts, music and dance, creating artistic performances.

Vovinam martial arts music has been taught in schools since 2013, spreading widely among students. However, to have a martial arts music competition like this one, it took more than ten years.
