Thanh Hoa City's comprehensive education quality continues to lead the province.

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - On the afternoon of June 7, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa City held a conference to summarize the 2024-2025 school year and deploy tasks for the 2025-2026 school year. Attending the conference were representatives of the leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, socio-political organizations of the city; leaders of 47 wards and communes; school principals along with many teachers and students with excellent achievements in the 2024-2025 school year.

In the 2024-2025 school year, the city'seducation sector has made many efforts and attempts to complete the set goals and tasks in the spirit of fundamental and comprehensive innovation. 15/19 tasks were completed and exceeded: Admission rate at the beginning of the school year; maintaining student numbers; quality of preschool education and care; universalization work; primary education results; results of conduct and academic performance classification for secondary schools; competitions, contests, exams, and exchanges at the central, provincial, and city levels; level of digital transformation; implementation of democracy; classification of community learning centers...

After the merger, Thanh Hoa City has the largest school and classroom network in the province with 199 schools, including 161 public schools, 2 autonomous public schools, and 36 non-public schools. The school and classroom network meets the learning needs of students and the requirements of universal education.

In 2024, the city budget invested nearly 90 billion VND, and in 2025, over 100 billion VND to build new, repair, and renovate infrastructure systems and purchase teaching equipment for schools. In addition, the city also socialized over 25 billion VND and many artifacts and supplies to serve the teaching, learning, and living of teachers and students.

Comrade Nguyen Viet Hung, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee delivered the opening speech at the conference.

The quality of the teaching staff and educational management staff has been improved and standardized. 99.9% of the management staff and teachers have qualified professional qualifications, are responsible for their work, and are active in the emulation movement "Teach well, learn well". Thanks to that, the comprehensive education quality of the city has developed steadily, continuing to be the leading unit in the province; universalizing preschool education, primary education and secondary education has achieved a high rate (level 3).

Head of the City Department of Education and Training Nguyen Thi Oanh presented a report at the conference.

During the school year, the city's education sector has effectively implemented the Project "Improving the quality of foreign language teaching and learning in the province by 2025". Currently, 100% of schools have the minimum equipment for teaching and learning foreign languages, 100% of students are able to study foreign languages; 100% of schools implement the optional English program for students in grades 1, 2, 5; and implement the compulsory English program of the Ministry of Education and Training for students in grades 3 and 4.

The quality of comprehensive education has been improved; 100% of primary schools have implemented STEM education and implemented local education content according to the 2018 General Education Program. Internal inspection; educational quality assessment; and assessment in schools have been carried out seriously, so school order and discipline are always stable.
