According to his LinkedIn profile, Andy Byron has been CEO of Astronomer since July 2023. Prior to that, he had many years of executive experience in the software and information security fields.

Astronomer is a data infrastructure startup that develops the Astro platform to help organizations manage data flows and deploy artificial intelligence with ease. The company is headquartered in New York City and serves a wide range of large clients, from banks to media companies.

To date, Astronomer has raised $376 million and reached a valuation of over $1 billion by 2022, becoming a tech unicorn by 2022.

Prior to becoming head of Astronomer, Byron served as President of Lacework from 2019 to 2022, then served as an interim advisor to the company, according to his LinkedIn profile.

From 2017 to 2019, he served as Chief Revenue Officer of Cybereason. Additionally, Byron served as President and COO of Fuze, and held leadership positions at Vericenter and BMC Software.

Kristin Cabot joined Astronomer about nine months before the incident as the company’s HR director. On her LinkedIn page, she describes herself as someone who has the ability to build trust and connect effectively with people at all levels, from the board to executive and support positions.

So far, neither Byron, Cabot, nor Astronomer have made any official statements regarding the incident. Us Weekly said it has reached out to both the company and its two senior executives for comment, but has not yet received a response.

A letter allegedly sent internally by CEO Andy Byron to Astronomer is circulating on social media, in which he acknowledges the "embarrassing moment" at the Coldplay concert and apologizes to his wife, family and all employees for the unwanted impact. He said he is taking time to reflect and take responsibility, and asked for his privacy to be respected.

However, the account X that posted the letter was determined to be fake. Although the original post has been deleted, the content of the letter continues to spread strongly.

In his personal life, Mr. Byron is currently married to Ms. Megan Kerrigan Byron and has two children. Both live a private life, rarely appearing in public outside of professional events. According to public information, Ms. Cabot is said to have recently completed divorce proceedings with her ex-husband, Mr. Kenneth Thornby.
