To watch the military parade and march during the second rehearsal at Ba Dinh Square last night (August 24), many people in Hanoi and people from neighboring localities flocked to the central area and the streets where the parade and military convoy passed. Yesterday morning, Hanoi was extremely hot and sunny, and in the afternoon it rained. Many people had health problems such as stroke, heatstroke, allergies, diarrhea, headaches, nausea... and had to go to medical tents for examination.

The Ba Dinh Square area and the streets where the parade and marching procession passed through were arranged with medical forces from the Police, the Army, and medical teams from hospitals in Hanoi . Medical tents were arranged at many important locations to be ready to receive patients and respond to emergency situations.
To witness the parade, many people, including the elderly and children, lined up early on the streets. Standing and sitting in the rain and sun caused many people to have health problems, especially those with underlying diseases.
In addition, many soldiers were tired and dehydrated during the assembly, parade on Ba Dinh Square and marching through the streets. During the first general training session, 40 soldiers from the standing block needed medical assistance.

According to Hospital 19-8, last night at the medical tent on Doc Lap Street, 11 cases of fatigue, nausea, abdominal pain, and digestive disorders were admitted. They were given IV fluids and pain relief, including one case that was still weak and was transferred to Xanh Pon General Hospital.
About 30 people at the scene watching the parade were tired and dehydrated and were served drinks and food (biscuits) by doctors and nurses at the medical tent. At the A1 stand, there was a case of stomach ache which was also treated promptly.
In this training session, Hospital 19-8 added a medical team to the Former Police Block. There was a case of a retired police officer having difficulty breathing, the emergency team transferred him to Xanh Pon General Hospital for treatment.
According to reports from the medical teams of the People's Public Security Forces such as the Traditional Medicine Hospital (Ministry of Public Security), Hanoi Police Hospital, the medical staff of the People's Public Security Academy and the People's Police Academy, during the second training session, many people unfortunately suffered injuries, fainting, stomachaches, allergies, asthma... and were promptly treated by the medical team.

At the medical tent at Hanoi Railway Station, doctors provided emergency care to a police officer from Ha Dong Ward who was on duty at the Le Duan - Nguyen Thai Hoc intersection and was suffering from dizziness, fatigue, and chest pain. The patient was examined, had his blood sugar tested, had an intravenous line inserted, and was monitored at the tent. His health was then stabilized.
Another police officer suffered from physical weakness. After receiving first aid at the medical tent, he was transferred to Hanoi Police Hospital for further monitoring.
On Lieu Giai Street, a civilian watching the parade suddenly suffered a stroke and was quickly taken to the medical tent for treatment, then transferred to Thu Cuc Hospital for emergency care.
Also on this route, there were 2 cases of head trauma and hypocalcemia. After first aid and head bandaging at the medical tent at Quan Ngua Sports Palace, the patients were transferred to Hospital 354 for emergency treatment.
In addition, many people have had health problems due to standing and sitting early to wait for the parade such as: Scratched legs due to walking long distances; having rocks thrown at them; nosebleeds; hypocalcemia, facial allergies and asthma; difficulty breathing; digestive disorders; suffocation due to lack of oxygen.

The above patients were taken to the medical tent for treatment, some cases required intravenous calcium infusion and intravenous injection, oxygen inhalation...
According to the report of the Medical Team of the People's Police Academy, last night, the medical tent received 3 people for emergency treatment, including 2 cases of physical weakness treated at the tent, and 1 case of high blood pressure transferred to Hanoi Heart Hospital for monitoring.
Dr. Luong Duc Dung, Head of the General Planning Department, Xanh Pon General Hospital, said that Xanh Pon Hospital is located right in the center, closest to Ba Dinh Square. To ensure the safety of delegates, parade forces and people during the preliminary rehearsal, final rehearsal and the grand ceremony, the department leaders arranged 50% of the staff to stay at the hospital on duty 24/7 to promptly respond to any situation that may arise.
Xanh Pon General Hospital has developed a plan to ensure medical emergencies such as: Trauma, fire, food poisoning, disaster; assigning specialized teams such as: ECMO, interventional cardiology, interventional radiology, burn-trauma emergency, interventional gastrointestinal endoscopy, ENT, maxillofacial surgery... to classify, handle and promptly treat patients when they are brought to the emergency room by other levels.
