With more than 100,000 passengers and approximately 600 flights passing through the port on peak days, Noi Bai International Airport has carefully prepared to serve the travel needs of people during the Lunar New Year.
According to Noi Bai International Airport, it is forecasted that in the week before and after Lunar New Year 2025, there will be an average of 90,000 passengers and 550 flights passing through the airport each day.
The peak day before Tet is expected to be January 24 (December 25) and the peak day after Tet is February 2 (the 5th day of Tet) with an estimated 100,000 passengers and 590 flights.
It is forecasted that in the week before and after Lunar New Year 2025, there will be an average of 90,000 passengers and 550 flights passing through the port every day.
A representative of Noi Bai International Airport said that it will apply level 1 enhanced aviation security control measures from January 26 to February 2 (ie December 27 to the 5th day of Tet).
The port has closely coordinated with airlines and worked with the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to coordinate slots effectively, reasonably, and optimize infrastructure exploitation.
According to the decision of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, the coordination parameter at Noi Bai International Airport during the time frame from 06:00 to 23:55 is 42 slots/hour; from 00:00 to 05:55 is 32 slots/hour.
Before each peak period, Noi Bai International Airport proactively develops a service plan to ensure absolute security, safety and service quality.
Notably, from December 20, 2024, Noi Bai International Airport has synchronously deployed a non-stop toll collection system at all toll lanes at Passenger Terminals T1 and T2. Thereby, contributing to increasing vehicle throughput capacity and reducing congestion during peak hours.
On this occasion, the port also organized many cultural experience activities for passengers such as deploying a large-scale painting, 392m long, in the quarantine area to Passenger Terminal T2 with the theme "Vietnam - The Land of Brocade" to introduce Vietnam's scenic spots to international friends.
At the same time, organize seminars to guide customers on how to make gifts and decorate their homes from recycled and natural materials; organize folk music performances; lion dance activities combined with giving teddy bears to passengers; calligraphy activities, giving calligraphy at the beginning of the year; organize a program to welcome the last flight of the year before New Year's Eve...
Noi Bai International Airport recommends that passengers check flight information through airline channels, on the website or on the iNIA app, to proactively arrive at the airport early, 3 hours in advance for international flights, 2 hours in advance for domestic flights.
After completing check-in, quickly go through the security check area to enter the restricted and isolated area. Passengers are advised to prepare their flight documents, luggage, and personal belongings in accordance with regulations, and follow the instructions of airline staff during the check-in procedures. Limit relatives from picking up and seeing off at the terminal.
