(NLDO) – Students at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade were surprised because after only about a month of returning to school, the school had already announced the Tet holiday schedule for next year.


Below the post announcing the Lunar New Year holiday schedule of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (Tan Phu district), many humorous comments said that the school is more excited to celebrate Tet than the students.

Students excited about early Lunar New Year holiday

Minh Hang, a second-year student at the school, said she had just had a very long Tet holiday and had only been back to school for about a month when she received the notice of the Tet holiday schedule for next year. "I've been looking forward to Tet this whole year," Hang said excitedly.

One account commented: "School, you are more excited about Tet holiday than the students. I don't have a summer vacation schedule yet but now I have to go shopping for Tet."

Besides the comments expressing excitement and giving "10 points" for the school's thoughtfulness, many students are also worried. As final year students, Nguyen Nguyen and Khanh Nam hope that the school will soon have a graduation ceremony schedule.

Speaking to reporters on the morning of March 20, MSc. Pham Thai Son, Director of the Admissions and Communications Center - Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, said that the school has based on the training progress of the 2025 - 2026 school year, the 2026 Lunar New Year holiday is expected to last 4 weeks from February 9, 2026 to March 8, 2026 (December 22, 2025 to January 21, 2026 lunar calendar). The school has also announced the schedule for the summer vacation and summer semester of 2026, expected to take place in July and August 2026.

"Around May 2025, students will start registering for courses. The school's announcement of the Tet holiday is not too early. All holidays during the year are planned in advance, the school announces so that students can proactively register for suitable courses and have a plan to have a more economical Tet holiday, and be happier with their families" - MSc. Son added.
