
The program included many practical and meaningful activities such as offering incense and flowers to commemorate heroic martyrs at Kien Luong District Memorial ; propagating and disseminating laws to more than 200 officials, members and fishermen.
Along with that, more than 1,000 leaflets, 200 handbooks, 180 legal propaganda books were distributed; 600 national flags, 30 photos of Uncle Ho and 30 medical bags were given to fishing boats; 30 gifts, worth 1 million VND each, were given to poor fishing families.
In addition, the Coast Guard and youth union members of Kien Luong district also collected and treated more than 3 tons of waste along 2km of coastline.

The highlight of the series of activities was the contest “I love my homeland’s sea and islands” for secondary school students in the area; with the online round attracting more than 3,500 registrations and over 10,200 participants, the live round held at Kien Luong town secondary school had the participation of 100 outstanding students.
Colonel Nguyen Thai Duong, Deputy Political Commissar of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command, emphasized: "The contest not only helps students learn about sea and island sovereignty , international law, IUU prevention, drugs, and school violence, but also contributes to fostering love for the homeland and national traditions."
On this occasion, the Command of Coast Guard Region 4 awarded 80 scholarships (each worth 1 million VND) to students in difficult circumstances.
At the end of the competition, Duong Ngoc Thao Nguyen (class 6/3, Hoa Dien Secondary School) excellently won first prize.
