According to information from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 4:00 p.m. on August 23, 2025, the center of storm No. 5 (international name: storm Kajiki) was about 230 km east-northeast of Hoang Sa. The strongest wind near the center of the storm was level 9-10 (equivalent to about 75-102 km/h), gusting to level 12; moving west-northwest at a speed of about 25 km/h.
Storm warning number 5 causes widespread heavy rain, level 15 wind gusts
According to forecasts, in the next 24 hours, at 4pm on August 24, the storm will move west-northwest at a speed of 20-25 km/h and continue to strengthen. The center of the storm is located in the sea south of Hainan Island (China). The storm is at level 12, gusting to level 14.
