TPO - The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued a decision to declare an emergency situation regarding landslides on the right-hand dykes of Bui, Bui 2, Go Khoam, and landslides on the banks of the Bui River in Chuong My district.

TPO - The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued a decision to declare an emergency situation regarding landslides on the right-hand dykes of Bui, Bui 2, Go Khoam, and landslides on the banks of the Bui River in Chuong My district.

Specifically, the landslide point on the right bank of Bui in the communes of Tan Tien, Hoang Van Thu, Tot Dong, and My Luong has a total length of about 875m. In addition, there is also water leakage through the culvert at 3 locations in My Luong commune.

On the dike line in the communes of Hoang Van Thu, Nam Phuong Tien, and Tan Tien, there are 9 points of landslides on the dike slope, dike body, and cracks on the dike surface of Bui 2 dike line, with a total landslide length of about 600m.

Hanoi People's Committee said that the incidents of landslides on the dike slopes, dike bodies, and cracks on the dikes on the right of Bui, Bui 2, and Go Khoam, and landslides on the banks of the Bui River in Chuong My district have increased in width, depth, and length during the storm. This poses a risk to the safety of the dikes, directly affecting the safety of people and vehicles participating in traffic.

The landslide area belongs to Tot Dong commune.

The Hanoi People's Committee assigned the Chuong My District People's Committee to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Irrigation and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control to maintain warnings and implement measures to ensure safety for dykes; at the same time, ensure safety for people and property of people living along the river, people and vehicles participating in traffic on the dyke in the landslide area.

Previously, the Hanoi People's Committee also issued a decision to declare an emergency situation of landslides on the Right Day dike in Quoc Oai district and issued an order to build emergency works to prevent landslides.

At the end of October 2024, at the Ta Day River dike section, Yen Nghia ward (Ha Dong district), 3 subsidence points appeared. The authorities had to erect barriers and prohibit vehicles from moving on the dike surface.
