The Long An Construction Investment Project Management Board (Tay Ninh province) said that the contractor is speeding up the construction progress of provincial road 823D - a key traffic project connecting Tay Ninh with Ho Chi Minh City. Currently, the project has completed more than 75% of its volume. In the photo is the project's intersection with N2 road and Ho Chi Minh road, promising to become an important connection point, expanding development space for the area.
Provincial Road 823D is over 14 km long, starting at the intersection of National Highway N2 - Ho Chi Minh Road and ending at the new Northwest Road (Ranh Canal). The project has a total investment of over 4,800 billion VND, of which construction costs are over 1,100 billion VND and over 3,700 billion VND for compensation and site clearance.
According to VTC News, at the end of August, many sections of Route 823D were paved with asphalt and ready to be marked with lane lines. The route is designed in a modern style with 4 main lanes, 2 parallel lanes, and a 40m wide roadbed, creating a new look for the area's traffic infrastructure.
Traffic lights and signs have been installed on most of Route 823D, contributing to completing the infrastructure and ensuring safety when put into operation.
The project started at the end of 2021 and has so far completed the items of roadbed sand, drainage system and red gravel. At the same time, the crushed stone grading ratio reached 97.41%, asphalt concrete reached more than 52%, while the curb and median strip have been completed nearly 93%.
Route 823D is expected to be completed in 2025. Construction units are mobilizing 9 construction teams across the entire route, creating an urgent atmosphere to bring the project to the finish line on schedule.
The roundabout at the intersection of Provincial Road 823D and Provincial Road 824 is currently being accelerated by construction units, in order to soon complete an important item.
However, at the end of the project – the intersection with the new Northwest road at Ranh Canal – the project is still unfinished due to problems in site clearance.
Provincial Road 823D passes through many industrial parks and urban areas. When completed, the route will not only expand the connecting space but also create a valuable clean land fund, becoming an advantage to attract domestic and foreign investors. This is also an important condition to help Tay Ninh accelerate investment attraction in industry and logistics in the period of 2025-2030.
When the route is opened to traffic, the connectivity of large-scale urban projects in Duc Hoa district, the former Long An province (now merged into Tay Ninh) such as Vinhomes Green City, Lucky City... will be significantly improved, creating momentum for the real estate market and regional infrastructure.
The Long An Construction Investment Project Management Board said that provincial road 823D plays a particularly important role when connecting directly with strategic traffic axes such as Ho Chi Minh road, National Highway N2 and Ring Roads 2, 3, 4 of Ho Chi Minh City, contributing to the formation of a synchronous inter-regional traffic network.
Contractors are being asked to speed up construction, complete acceptance and payment documents to meet the schedule this year. When the project is completed, the Northwest gateway will have an additional arterial road, expand development space, welcome a new wave of investment and gradually become a dynamic growth pole of the region.
