The first official of Thanh Hoa province voluntarily retired early to streamline the apparatus.

On the afternoon of December 26, information from the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department stated that Comrade Bui Thi Muoi, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, wished to retire early to make it easier for the agency and organization to reorganize and streamline the apparatus.

Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Bui Thi Muoi is the first cadre in the province to take the lead in retiring early, sacrificing personal interests for the common good in the process of streamlining the apparatus. From now on, comrade Bui Thi Muoi has nearly 2 years of work left before reaching retirement age.

Comrade Bui Thi Muoi was born in 1969 in Thanh An commune (Thach Thanh), is a Muong ethnic, has a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Politics . Before being transferred and appointed as Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department (November 2021), she was Secretary of the Thach Thanh District Party Committee.

Regarding the implementation of streamlining the apparatus, on the morning of December 26, the Standing Committee of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee held a conference to summarize Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee on "Some issues of continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently".

Accordingly, after 7 years of implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, Thanh Hoa province has achieved many outstanding results, being one of the localities implementing the most administrative unit arrangement at commune and village levels in the country. Currently, the province is implementing the arrangement of administrative units at district and commune levels for the period 2023-2025 according to Resolution No. 939/NQ-BTVQH15 dated December 13, 2023 and Resolution No. 1238/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated October 24, 2024 of the National Assembly Standing Committee, merging Dong Son district into Thanh Hoa city and merging 23 communes to establish 11 communes.

For the Party and mass organizations, there will be a reduction of 1 agency, 24 departments, and offices... For the local government, the whole province will reduce 5 departments, branches, and provincial-level units, reduce 4 branches, 20 offices under the department, 22 offices under the branch, reduce 27 medical offices under the district-level People's Committee; reduce 262 public service units and 81 focal points under the service units of provincial-level organizations, provincial-level agencies, and district-level People's Committees.

The province also merged 3,172 villages and residential groups to establish 1,522 new villages and residential groups, reducing 1,620 villages and residential groups...
