Business Coffee - sharing policies for businesses

The Business Coffee Program, Term 2-2025, with the theme "Update on Tax Policy 2025 - What should businesses and business households do?" attracted 300 businesses, cooperatives, and business households in the city to attend. According to businesses, cooperatives, and business households, the program helps businesses have better perspectives to orient production and business development appropriately in the new context.

Businesses raise questions and suggestions to tax authorities within the framework of the event.

In the context of digital transformation and the trend of promoting tax management transparency, the way of operating and complying with tax laws has changed dramatically from invoices, documents, value added tax, corporate income tax, to electronic identification... That shows that the traditional business model is facing the need to transform - from flexible and simple thinking to a more systematic, digital and transparent approach.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hao, Chairman of Can Tho Business Association (CBA), said: "Policy changes open up many opportunities - but at the same time pose many challenges. As the legal corridor is increasingly improved, businesses and business households need to proactively change to adapt. If they do not understand correctly or do not update promptly, the risk of improper compliance or difficulties in operation is possible. Therefore, the Business Coffee program is an opportunity to share, update and exchange practices, to accompany businesses and business households to approach new points in the 2025 tax policy, and together remove obstacles in the transition process."

Attending the event, businesses, cooperatives, and business households were introduced by representatives of Can Tho City Tax Department to the new tax policy that will take effect in 2025. At the same time, they participated in the discussion session From policy to implementation - From the perspective of experts with content revolving around: updating new regulations on invoices, documents, value added tax 2025; Law on Corporate Income Tax 2025 - optimal model solutions for businesses and business households; preferential signature policies and software to support businesses.

Mr. Trang Tuan Kiet, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Director of Gia Nguyen Investment Joint Stock Company, said: "The company operates in the field of trade and services, so it is very necessary to update information on new tax policies. Coming to this Business Coffee program, I heard the representative of the tax authority directly inform about the general, overall content to specific, detailed issues about the new tax policy. For example, in the past, to be deducted tax, with transactions of 20 million VND, businesses only transferred money, but now for transactions of 5 million VND, businesses must transfer money from the business account information".

Mr. Pham Ngoc Da, Director of ODA High-Tech Cooperative, shared: “I regularly attend the Business Coffee programs organized by CBA. In 2025 alone, in the first session with the theme “Effective access to capital for SMEs & housing credit”, I received a lot of practical and useful information, helping small and medium enterprises access appropriate capital sources, understand the process and conditions for borrowing capital as well as make good use of current support policies. And in this session, I hope to better understand the process of issuing invoices and giving reasonable and accurate discounts to customers”. According to Mr. Pham Ngoc Da, with the current difficult economic situation, the next Business Coffee programs need to focus on connecting domestic and foreign enterprises to support enterprises in finding output for their products.

In 2025, a series of new tax policies will officially be applied. These changes will not only directly impact production and business activities, but also determine the competitiveness and sustainable development of each enterprise and each business household.

Mr. Nguyen Van Truong, Deputy Head of Can Tho City Tax, said: "Can Tho City Tax always determines the motto of "taking taxpayers as the center of service". Today's Business Coffee program is an opportunity for the tax authority to receive frank and responsible contributions from businesses. On that basis, we propose timely solutions to remove difficulties and accompany businesses to overcome difficulties. Can Tho City Tax is committed to continuing to reform administrative procedures, applying modern technology, improving the sense of responsibility and public ethics of tax officials and civil servants. With close cooperation and companionship between the tax authority and the business community, we will together build a more transparent, fair, favorable and effective business environment".

According to CBA, starting in 2022, Business Coffee has become a meeting place and playground for many businesses in the city. 2025 is identified by CBA as the year of innovation. In the near future, CBA will deploy more Business Coffee activities and programs with updated information on new policies and potential business opportunities.

“The topic of the next business coffee is expected to be related to the credit guarantee fund for businesses. CBA does not distinguish between large and small businesses; does not distinguish between state-owned and private enterprises. With the role of connecting the government and businesses, CBA's goal is to help businesses in Can Tho City and the Mekong Delta region promptly seize opportunities, take advantage of advantages, and develop more sustainable and effective business activities,” emphasized Mr. Nguyen Van Hao.
