Colonel Vu Duc Tu, Deputy Political Commissar of the Son La Provincial Border Guard Command, shared: “The Son La border area still faces many difficulties and needs the cooperation of organizations and sponsors to concrete inter-village and inter-school roads. Each completed road section not only helps teachers and students feel secure in teaching and studying, but also provides solid steps for the future of future generations.”

On this occasion, the Border Guard Command of Son La province also directed units to continue calling for and mobilizing social resources to support people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters caused by storm No. 3.

Essential supplies were delivered to people affected by floods.

In the communes of Sop Cop, Song Ma, Chieng Khuong, Chieng So, Muong Lam..., heavy rain caused flash floods in many villages. Border Guard units of Son La province promptly mobilized nearly 800 gifts, more than 3.3 tons of food and 120 million VND in cash, total value of nearly 1 billion VND to share difficulties with the people.

These practical and humane actions have contributed to strengthening trust and enhancing military-civilian solidarity at the border. The image of the green-uniformed soldier is not only closely connected with the people, but also ready to rush into hardships, leaving deep impressions in the hearts of the people, especially in mountainous, remote and border communes.
