This afternoon, January 14, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Long Hai visited and wished a Happy New Year to officers and soldiers of Division 968 on the occasion of the traditional Lunar New Year of At Ty.

Receiving the Provincial Party Secretary and Division Commander, Colonel Le Chien Thang introduced the history of the unit's formation and the process of performing its tasks in the past time. Accordingly, Division 968 was established in 1968, under Military Region 4.

Division 968 is stationed in Quang Tri province and carries out combat readiness tasks, handling civil defense situations, and natural disaster prevention in Quang Binh , Quang Tri provinces and Hue City. Over the years, Division 968 has always fulfilled its tasks, actively contributing to socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in Quang Tri province, and has been highly appreciated by Military Region 4 and the Ministry of National Defense.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Long Hai acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the officers and soldiers of Division 968 in the area in general and Quang Tri in particular. The achievements that Quang Tri province has achieved in various fields in recent times have had positive contributions from the armed forces, including Division 968.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Long Hai said that in 2024, Quang Tri achieved many important achievements in the fields of socio-economics, defense and security, in which many key projects were started, some projects were re-constructed, creating a premise and momentum to enter 2025.

This makes cadres, party members, people and soldiers very excited and expectant of the development and advancement of the locality. 2025 is the year of acceleration, reaching the finish line, completing the tasks and targets set by the 17th Provincial Party Congress.

Therefore, we hope that officers and soldiers of Division 968 will continue to strive to excellently complete their tasks; actively coordinate with localities and local forces to successfully complete combat readiness tasks, civil defense, and handle natural disaster prevention situations.
