On October 30, Hue Central Hospital announced that the hospital's representative had just arrived in Thailand to receive first prize in the "Competition for laparoscopic colorectal surgery through recorded videos " competition, Southeast Asia region.

The competition is jointly launched through the Vietnam Association of Surgical and Endoscopic Surgery and surgical associations of Southeast Asian countries, taking place from June to August 2023.
Through the preliminary rounds, the Vietnam Association of Endoscopic Surgery and Surgery selected videos from doctors at Hue Central Hospital to submit to the Southeast Asia regional finals.
In the final round, there were 4 excellent videos from major hospitals in the region competing. The judges highly appreciated the work recording the surgery of doctors from Hue Central Hospital, choosing to award the first prize.
Hue Central Hospital said that the video was highly rated by professors from Korea and China for its dissection skills as well as the accuracy of anatomical landmarks, ensuring the quality of oncology.
