Worried when my child quits architecture to study background drawing

VnExpressVnExpress21/11/2023

I am concerned about job opportunities if my child pursues animation as a background artist because this industry is not developed in Vietnam.

My daughter has been studying architecture at university for 4 years, and if all goes well, she will graduate in one year. However, not long ago, she suddenly announced that she would drop out of school to pursue background drawing. I researched and found that this is a subject that draws backgrounds for animated films. Although I feel a bit sorry for the effort and money that she and her family have spent over the past 4 years, I still respect her decision.

However, I am a bit worried about the career opportunities if my child pursues this subject because in Vietnam, the animation film production industry is not developed. On the other hand, I am also afraid that this subject will be greatly affected by technological development.

I hope those of you who are knowledgeable or pursuing this industry will share more. Thank you everyone.
