At the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Lam Minh Dang suggested that delegates spend time studying and focusing on contributing opinions on the key contents of the draft documents of the Congress, especially on the theme and motto of the Congress; assessing the implementation results of the Resolution of the 11th Party Congress (term 2020 - 2025) of the three provinces of Vinh Long, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh; directions, goals, tasks and solutions for economic, cultural - social development, strengthening national defense - security, and building the political system in the coming term.

Commenting on the draft Political Report, delegates proposed to deeply assess the potential, advantages and challenges of Vinh Long province (after the merger); adding more information and data on sectors and fields to clarify the results of the resolution implementation.

Delegates contributed many opinions on the theme and motto of the Congress to determine the goals and development orientation of the province in the new term, ensuring generality and feasibility.

Regarding the main indicator system, many opinions suggested adding indicators to evaluate the performance of the front and mass organizations, indicators in the fields of security and defense; adding indicators based on the 4 pillar resolutions pointed out by General Secretary To Lam ...

In addition, delegates also proposed adding groups of tasks and solutions related to attracting and developing high-quality human resources, creating breakthroughs in science and technology development, promoting socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas, and perfecting infrastructure to respond to climate change, etc.
